(13) Where did he go?

Dimitri was being placed in hiding. He wasn't allowed to go outside or even look outside. Any tests that Gavin had to assemble were to be done inside, much to the dismay of Alex. Dimitri was only obeying but he had a plan in the back of his head. Only one test was done that day. Just another intelligence test and Dimitri attempted to spend every moment with you. But as night fell, he couldn't. All of the people that had shown up to try and find Dimitri were still all over and even in the lake. Looking out the window, you could see a bunch of lights and people still walking around and tents set up.

Alex had to go out and mark his property line so people wouldn't keep coming onto the property. The cabin was seen in the viral video so, because of that, people wouldn't stop knocking on the door asking their ridiculous questions. "Alright, (Y/n)" James said getting your attention, "Bedtime". You closed the curtain and went to the couch and Dimitri slithered over next to James. James was about to tuck you in but Dimitri beat him to it and took over. He tucked you in and wished you a good nights rest and went to bed by the couch, leaving the other three men to sleep in peace. Especially Gavin. Ever since Dimitri showed up, every day he would have more questions and more tests that made him feel like he was a kid in a candy store.

But Dimitri wasn't asleep. He slept with one eye open and once he knew you and the other three men were alseep, he peeked out the window and still saw all the people with their lights and even some campfires. It was risky, but he had to take this risk. Gavin had shown him some basic functions of the cabin, even opening doors. Dimitri was about to unlock the door but he took a moment to stare at you. This could be the last time he'll ever see you. Knowing this made him feel sick to his stomach and he had to hold back his tears.

"I'm so sorry, my child". Dimitri then kissed your head so delicately. "I love you". Dimitri then unlocked the door and gave you one last look and left. He had to be very careful. There were more people around. Many more people. More than he was used to. He dodged every eye sight and every obstacle until he was in the clear. As the sun rose up for the morning, you were the first to wake up and notice Dimitris absence. You quickly sat up and got off the couch and looked around. He was nowhere to be found. "Oh" a voice said behind you. "Your up already" James said.

"James! Dimitris gone"!

"What're you talking about"?

"He's gone"! James panicked and ran back upstairs to get Gavin, leaving you alone to cry. In no time wasted, Gavin jumped out of bed to rush downstairs in his pajamas to check the security cameras and leaving James to console you. "It looks like he left at around 2AM".

"What do we do then" James asked while holding you up.

"We have to go find him, now"!

"What's going on" asked a tired voice. It was Alex.

"Dimitri left! We have to find him" Gavin said rushing past him to go throw his clothes on, leaving a very confused Alex on the landing of the stairs. "Who's Dimitri again"?

"Oh my God, Alex" James said tiredly. "Just go get dressed as quickly as possible"! Alex obeyed and James still tried to calm you down but you were still crying. "Don't worry, (Y/n)". James put you down. "We'll find him. I promise".

"No".

"No what"?

"No".

"No what? Use your words".

"No"! You pushed James arms aside and rushed to the door and raced outside, ignoring James's call to come back. People heard him and saw you running away but you made it too far off for James to catch you. Running through the woods brought back your memory of when you escaped your parents that night. You didn't care where you were going as long as it wasn't at that horrible home with two horrible people. Dimitri saved your life and so did James, Alex and Gavin. If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be here.

But without one of them, things were falling apart. You couldn't function without one of them and they all needed to be around you to make you feel safe. If that means running through the woods to find one of them, then so be it.
