Dimitris eyes slowly opened and felt something different. Instead of feeling dirt and a rocky surface, he felt a cold metal floor and was in total darkness. He slowly got up and was quickly greeted with a loud voice. "Subject has awaken. Turn on the lights". Suddenly, a lot of bright and overwhelming lights brightened up the room, revealing a large room with four metal walls and various items strewn across the metal floor. The brightness made Dimitri cover his eyes and the voice documented it. "Subject is sensitive to light after being in darkness. Another natural reaction related to humans".
"W- What? What's going on"?
"Subject speaks English!? Amazing"!
"Who's there? Where am I"? Dimitri waited for a response but after a few moments of silence, Dimitri asked again. "Who's there"?
"You're in a classified location, Subject #3. Don't worry, you won't be harmed, as long as you do what you're told".
"Where's (Y/n)"? There was silence once again and Dimitri was growing more increasingly concerned. "Where's (Y/n)" Dimitri asked in a more demanding tone.
"Subject is starting to become enraged. Prepare the tranquilizer if needed".
"WHERE IS MY CHILD" Dimitri screamed.
"On my mark". Dimitri screamed and started picking up the objects and throwing them around and was now banging on the hard metal walls, baring his teeth and hissing loudly like a roar. "Deploy". Dimitri then felt a sharp prick on his body and looked to see a tranquilizer needle in his long python body. He yanked it out and could feel the tranquilizer giving its effect and slowly started to sink down to the floor. "Subject is passing out. Take it to the isolation room and let him out when he's ready".
As if this wasn't bad enough, you were somewhere else. The police station. After those two hikers called the police and the police showed up, you were taken to the station for questioning and if they couldn't locate any family members from your family, you would be sent to CPS for awhile. All you were doing right now was sitting in a child room at the police center until an officer would come in. They gave you some water and some crackers to eat in case you were hungry but that didn't satisfy you. You were hoping and praying that Dimitri was ok and that James, Alex and Gavin would come get you.
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing another officer and a woman in buisness casual clothing and a clipboard. "Hello, sweetheart. How are you" the officer asked in a nice tone but you didn't answer him. "My name is officer Thomas and this is Mrs. Adams. Can you tell us your name"? You still didn't answer. "You seem nervous. It's ok to be nervous but were gonna help you. Ok"? Still, you didn't answer. Officer Thomas looked a bit uneasy and motioned for Mrs. Adams to sit down. "Well, may we know your name"?
You didn't answer. "Come on now, use your words" Mrs. Adams encouraged gently but you still didn't budge. "How about "yes" or "no" questions" she persuaded. "Can you do that"? You still didn't answer but she pressed on. "Do you have a mommy and a daddy"? You didn't want to speak but you looked at her instead. "Do you"? You hesitantly answered. "Not anymore" you said quietly which took them by surprise. "What do you mean" Officer Thomas asked.
"They're dead" you said normally and it gave you a sense of relief to repeat it. Officer Thomas and Mrs. Adams looked to each other and both looked so heartbroken for you. Mrs. Adams was about to ask another question but a knock on the door prevented her from speaking. "Come in". Another officer walked in and explained that three gentlemen were here for you and you launched yourself out of your seat. You were about to race off but officer Thomas stopped you fast. "Hold on, speedy. Do you know who he's talking about"?
"Yes"! You got out of his grasp, raced out of the room and sprinted down the hall to the entrance to see none other than James, Alex and Gavin. They heard you coming and James looked so relieved to see you and caught you as you jumped up to him. As he hugged you, the sweet reunion was short lived as you all were hit with sudden news. "You don't have custody over her" Mrs. Adams explained. "Until we find family members that are willing to take her in, she has to stay in the local group home".
"No" Alex yelled. "You can't do that to her"!
"Sir, don't yell" officer Thomas warned. Mrs. Adams sighed since she didn't want to do this either. "I'm sorry, sir, but that's what has to happen-".
"What about temporary custody" Gavin said.
"I suppose, but you'll all have to clear the background checks and sign a bunch of papers-"
"Whatever it takes" James said cutting her off. Mrs. Adams then looked to you and saw that you were giving her a pleading look as you held onto James for dear life. Mrs. Adams sighed and took out her phone. "Meet me at the office in thirty minutes. We'll have the papers ready. But remember... This is only temporary custody".
"We understand" James said.
