3rd person POV:
The B team, consisting of Toji, Kensuke, and Hikari, stood on standby in their Evangelions.
After several minutes of waiting, Misato contacted them explaining the situation.
Yn was taking her hostage, and they could not attack without risking civilians' lives.
However, they were strangely allowed to follow.
The B team then updated HQ on the circumstances, as they followed Yn as he took Misato far from Washington DC, and to the Grand Canyon.
There he began broadcasting Misato's kidnapping.
Yn: Shinji Ikari! I've got your precious mother figure here, in the Grand Canyon.
Yn: Come and get this saggy Milf, bring your friends.
Yn: Heck, some are already here.
Yn: There are a few people who want to meet you and I don't think your buddies here will be able to entertain them for long.
The B team then saw several Evangelions appear on their radar.
The majority of the Evangelions were new 90% cybernetic mass-production-type units.

Toji: I think we bit off a bit more than we can chew...
(Opening theme)
Back to back, Toji and Kensuke punched away every synthetic and nonsynthetic Eva that came to attack.
Hikari was flying through the air, making sure her boys didn't get too overwhelmed while dodging as much fire as she could.
Toji: How are we supposed to beat these many Evas?!
Kensuke:(coms) I'm pretty sure this is about overwhelming Shinji, we're just the test to see how good they are.
Hikari:(coms) We can discuss the purpose of these Eva's later, just focus on staying alive!
Kensuke:(coms) Until what? We only have three other Evangelions on our side!
Kensuke:(coms) And there's only...what? A little over a hundred?
Toji: Hikari's right. We need to fight, not think!
Hikari;(coms) Not exactly what I meant!
Far off, on a cliff with a ravine leading to the battle, Misato and Yn stood and watch.
