Hi omg sorry I haven't updated in awhile. I've been really busy and tbh I wasn't really inspired to write anymore. Only a few of you were voting and commenting :( It made it really hard to pick topics for the next chapters and whether to add twists or add characters. All I'm asking is if you guys would please vote and comment? It would really make me feel better. Thank you.

I was awoken to a loud banging noise on the outside of Theo and I's bedroom

"Your majesty!" A man's voice shouts from outside the door

Theo stirs in his sleep and rubs his eyes

He warily walks across our enormous bedroom to get to the two large, golden doors

He opens them to find Bradford, Theo's most trusted advisor

"Bradford? What's the matter?" Theo asks sleepily

I sit up to get a better look at the situation

Bradford had a horrified expression on his face, his breathing was heavy; and even though it was in the middle of February and the temperature was below freezing in England, he was sweating. He looked mortified.

"It's Matthew, he's escaped." Bradford's eyes move toward me

My breathe hitches in my throat, and my eyes fill with tears

"How could this be?! I have the best security in the world, and I'll be damned if they can't keep this sonofab*tch in his cell!" Theo yells, full of rage and confusion

Then all of the sudden, my heart stops for a second. Matthew is the most dangerous man I've ever met, he'll gets what he wants no matter what. And that something is me.

"The children, where are they?!" I scramble to my feet and look to Bradford

"Your majesty, Grayson and Gia are secure in their bedrooms, sound asleep. I've put five security guards outside their rooms." Bradford assures me

I sigh in relief and wipe the tears from my eyes

Theo wraps his arms around me and pushes me into his chest, his facial hair scratching my cheek

"I want two hundred of my men, hunting down Matthew, bring him to me alive. Search everywhere, don't stop until you find him." Theo roughly says

"Yes my King." Bradford bows his head "Shall I order your guards to guard your room as well?"

"No," Theo's hands dig into my sides, protectively holding me "Let that bastard come to me, I'll kill him with my bare hands."

I close my eyes and put my head down, my curly hair blocking my view

"Of course, have a pleasant night your majesties, I hope we can catch him."

"You will catch him." Theo corrects him "Goodnight Bradford."

Theo closes the doors and I pull away from him and run to the window, afraid of what I'll see

What if I see Matt lurking in the bushes in one of the kingdom's gardens? What if I see Matt sitting ontop of a high branch of a tree in the forest, waiting for me to look his way, then smirk at me the way he did when he kidnapped me, only a few years ago. The memory feels like someone has stabbed me in the stomach, over and over...

"Darling," I feel Theo kiss my neck "Don't be afraid."

I try to listen to my beloved husband, but how could I? This killer was on the loose, everything was on the line here. My children, who were only seven years of age. My husband, the King Of The UK. My father, Sofian. My friends, Jack, David, Kenna, Greer, and Lola. Me. When you're a royalty you're life is always at risk, you're always supposed to be aware of your surroundings and whom you speak to.

But, I've never felt so helpless, Theo was right he has the best soldiers and security in the world. However, that never stopped Matthew, and his father Henry for kidnapping me and holding me hostage for a week.

Matthew is Theo's older half brother though, shouldn't siblings love eachother and never betray one another? And Henry, Theo and Matt's father, betrayed his son just because he became more successful than him. Chills run down my spine thinking of how Theo ordered the guards to behead his father. The way Henry screamed when the guard took his sword out of his armour suit.

Slick!

That dreadful sound of that sword that killed Henry III, former king of the uk.

A part of me wished that Theo had killed Matt that day as-well, but a part of me doesn't. Matt is mentally unstable. He's psychotic, which Theo doesn't understand fully. But I do somewhat, I could see it in his eyes when he held me hostage that he didn't intend to hurt anyone. He just wanted love, just like anyone else.

I try to smile, but I can't. I can't. I want to show Theo that I wasn't bothered. But I was, I was scared that my hand was shaking, so Theo held it on his chest. His deep breathing made me feel more comfortable.

"You're safe Yasmine, you're safe." He tells me as he rests his chin on my shoulder and closing the satin blue curtain, blinding me from the outside.

Where is Alice? I ponder, I'll try to find her tomorrow. Is this what she meant when she told me that there would be danger to come?

Matthew and his father were the darkness. But now that Henry is dead, I guess Matt will have to carry the task on his own until he is caught. meaning people will die. I can't let that happen. I can't let Matthew do that to innocent souls. He has to be caught. He's angry with me, yes I'm aware. To be completely honest, I'd rather be tortured than the citizens of the UK. I may be the princess of Algeria, and daughter of Sofia and Sofian, but I am also the Queen Of The UK and I need to be there for my people. And that's what I intend to do.
