Chapter 33

"Your majesty, the king has ordered that eat good, for the baby." Mary, a female servent says to me

I almost roll my eyes, it's been a month since Theo and I tried for a baby 

He's made drastic measures around the palace

He's ordered the best seamstress in Europe to make my dresses one size larger around the waist area, he's made a diet for me. Three eggs and two peices of whole weat bread, a large slice of meat and orange juice, in the morning. For lunch, he's ordered that I have two pieces of thick chicken, a large salad, with rice and milk to drink. For dinner, I have pasta with thick, creamy cheese sauce, more salad and red wine.  I never eat/ate like this before. But, he tells me that I need to eat more now that there's a life growing inside of me. 

To be completly honest, I'm not even sure I'm pregrent. I had my menustration before Theo and I had intercourse. Now, that it's a new month, I should be getting it again at any time now. 

David has kept me pretty busy, shopping with me and trying out new foods. 

"I'm almost sure that it's a girl." He says chuckling

I laugh "I'm not sure, I have a feeling it'll be a boy." I touch my stomach

David and I are seated on a large sofa in Theo and I's room, it was deep red with gold trimming

He sits up and looks at me "If it is a girl, what would you name her?"

I ponder for a few seconds "Sofia."

"Sofia?" He asks

I nod "It was mother's name, a great ruler she was."

He smiles "You know in the Greek language, Sofia means wisdom." 

I nod "I'm sure it does."

His eyes turn into a serious tone "How have you been?"

I shrug "It's hard you know? Theo's always on my back about keeping healthy and he's placed random rules for me."

David nods "It's his job, it's his first child, he's new at this. It would be nerve racking for anyone." 

I start to nod, but then there's a knock at the door and Theo steps in

"David," He greets his best friend

"Your majesties." David bows his head and leaves the room

I stand and smile at my husband

He walks towards me and kisses my cheek

"How are you?" He asks looking at me

"I'm fine, how are you?"

He smiles "I couldn't be better."

"Can I go riding?" I ask 

He looks at me "I don't think that's a good idea."

I almost roll my eyes "I'll be careful."

He shakes his head "I don't want you to."

I cross my arms over my chest "That's not fair."

"What's not fair?"

"That you keep me in this castle all day. I want to do more." 

"So you're saying that I should let you go outside riding, and watch you break your back?" There's a hint of anger in his voice

"I won't fall." I promise

"No, Yasmine." He sighs

I narrow my eyes at him and walk away

I open the doors to our room and walk swiftly down the hall

I hear him behind me, but I ignore him

"Yasmine, I didn't mean to make you upset." He grabs my arm so I turn around to face him

"Well you did." 

Truth is, I only wanted to go riding because I wanted to visit the darkness, I hadn't heard from it in so long and its bothering me.

"I just want to keep you safe my darling." He tucks a piece of my hair behind my ear

"Theo I am safe, what could happen?" I regret what I said only a few seconds after they came out of my mouth

"A lot of things could happen Yasmine." He rakes a hand through his brown hair

I touch his hand "You worry too much."

He chuckles "How could I not?"

I smile at his words, he was only trying to take care of me and our child, how could I be upset?

But, I was going outside to the woods, and soon.
