I sit down on my bed

I was now fully dressed and one of my servents tied my long hair into a large bun

The red marks on my back have stopped bleeding and are now starting to fade

The physical pain has stopped but the mental pain is still there

Theo tried to comfort me by kissing my wounds and hugging me

But, I told him to leave me alone

I don't think he was really mad. I've  heard of mad kings. They would kill their own people in their kingdoms. King George Of Greece had his men kill innocent men, rape woman, and sell children into slavery.

I shook my head, trying to get that thought out of my head

Kenna, Greer, and Lola all rush into my room

"Yasmine what on earth? What happened?" Lola asks frantically

I take a deep breath

"Theo hit me, that's all." I say, I wasn't lying

They all look at me

"We wanted to help you, but the guards threatned us if we tried to go down there."

By there, she meant the dungeon

I nod "It's alright, really it is."

I lay down on my bed and pull the covers over me

"I would really love to be alone." I say to them

"Yes, of course. Tell us if you need anything." Kenna says to me

They all leave and close the door behind them

I close my eyes

I fell asleep for about two hours, then took a hot/warm bath, to calm my nerves

I then dressed in a black dress with a slit in the top, showing the top of my breasts

I took my hair out of the bun and let my loose curls fall to my back

I apply some blush to my cheeks and red lipstick, normally I would call one of my woman servents to do my makeup but I didn't want to be with anyone right now

I slip on my black heels and walk out of the room

I pass a few woman servents who say

"Your majesty." As they bow their heads, but I can tell they feel sorry for what had happened to me

I walk down to the stables and find Matthew

I find myself smiling as I approach him

He was brushing the mane of a white stallion

"Hello Matthew." I greet him

He looks at me and he smiles, but it's a sad smile

"Yasmine, what happened?" He grabs my hand

I look down at our interwined fingers and he immediatly takes his hand back

"I-I'm sorry." He stammers

I chuckle "It's quite alright."

We walk down the stables and outside

I smell the fresh air and look down at the snow

We didn't get snow in Algeria. But snow was very beautiful and I loved it. The way it draped over trees, making it look like a painting.

Matthew stands infront of me and looks me in the eyes

"Tell me." He presses

"Theo punished me." I say, tears already coming into my eyes

He lets out a breath

"Are you okay? I was worried."

I nod "I'm fine, don't worry about me."

"Why shouldn't I? You're the only person in this castle who treats me like a real person, not just a stable boy."

His words make my stomach ache

I do something that I'm not sure about

I put my arms around his waist and burry my head into his chest

He doesn't do anything for a few seconds but then puts his hands on my head and runs his heands through my hair

I hiccup back the tears

"Shh darling, everything is going to be alright." He whispers in my ear

I grab onto his black shirt, not wanting to part from him

I just wanted to be comforted

We stood there for a couple of moments until I pulled back

I looked up at the sky, the sun was about to set

"I have to meet Theo for dinner." I say to him

He nods sadly and I turn around

But what I see almost makes my heart leap out of my chest

Theo was staring at me, through a window on the second floor of the castle
