We stood there, just holding eacother and enjoying eachother's presence
When we finally pull away he kisses me and tells me I'm beautiful and that he loves me
I believe him, every word. I trust him and I don't trust a lot of people. A lot of people have betrayed me in my life so you can imagine, it would be hard for me to put my trust into a person.
Truth is, I didn't want to part from Theo I wanted to hug him for all eternity. He gives me this feeling that no other man has given me. It's comforting and loving and I can't get enough of it.
We were now walking down to the dining room for dinner
Tonight's meal was roasted chicken and baked potatoes with pasta and red wine
I bite into my chicken and looked around the room, I've always loved looking at this room.
It's pure white walls with murals and crystal chandelier and the large table that could sit about twenty people
I look at the murals and notice that Anna's wasn't up there anymore and was replaced with a painting of me..
I looked at it and tried to keep my mouth from gaping
It was beautiful. My long curly hair was blowing in the wind and my white gown flowed along with it
My face was serious but I looked innocent and beautiful
What I loved most of the painting was that I was in a peaceful meadow, I looked free
I smiled and turned to Theo, who was already looking at me, admiration in his eyes
"When did you do this?" I ask pointing to the painting
He smiled and said "When you were ignoring me I had one of the best painters in England come in and paint you. Do you like it?"
I nodded "Yes, I love it."
He smiled and took my hand in his and rubbed tiny circles in them
"I'm glad-"
Just then a guard came in and looked at me with worry in his eyes
"Your majesty, Algeria has just been invaded by France." He speaks, not making eye contact
I drop my fork on the floor and it feels like my whole world has stopped
My breath hitches in my throat and my palms get sweaty
My worst nightmare is coming true
