My heart sinks to my stomach once I realized what Matt has just said, but that look in eyes told me that he was serious. His face was lowered, and he kept his eyes on me. His blue eyes looked black in the light that we were standing in. He looked like a king lion ready to attack it's prey.

I chuckle nervously "You're funny Matt."

His lips curl into a sick, twisted smirk

"Oh trust me, I can be much more funnier if that's you want." He takes a step closer to me

"M-matt please, you can't be serious." My voice quivers as he takes another step towards me

"I hope I haven't broken any bridges with you Yasmine. I really would still love to be friends with you."

And in that moment, it all made sense to me. How Matt would be away for days, sometimes weeks at a time. The bruises and cuts on his body. How he would get upset when I would bring up the darkness. How he would play it off as it wasn't anything at all, that it was just superstition. He would try to make me think I was going insane, but he was the one that was insane.

He knew, he knew all along, he knew what he was doing. What hurts the most is that, I actually trusted him and thought he was my friend. But all he was was traitor and evil.

"I thought you were my friend." I take a few steps back as he approaches me

He frowns a little "But we are friends, Yasmine."

I shake my head quickly "You work for the man who killed my child. We're not friends."

He grits his teeth "Don't speak to me that way."

"I'll speak to you anyway I please." I cross my arms over my chest, trying to prove that I wasn't afraid of him

"Don't hide the fact that you're afraid of me, Yasmine." He speaks clear and rough

"I'm not afraid of you." I lie

He looks behind me "Oh, you will be."

I turn to find a person dressed in a black cloak coming towards me

I scream and run but Matt grabs me before I can even go a few feet away from them

The man's face is covered but I can see his smirk from under the cloak's hood

Matt holds me in his grip as the man swings a punch at my face

I moan as my face turns to the right

He punches me again and I instantly black out

***************************************************

I wake up to the feeling of cold water on my face

I blink a few times to see that I was layed on a bed in the middle of a room

The room had wooden walls, it looked like a middle class home. I've never stayed in a place like this.

I look up to find Matt looking back at me as he cleans the dried blood from my face with a wet rag

"You're awake." He smiles down at me

I sit up and place a hand on my forehead, my head hurt as if someone were to hit me with a brick

I close my eyes, but then open them to look at Matt

He had changed into a blue button down shirt with black pants, he had shaven and his hair was cut a little

"How long was I asleep?" I query

"One day, but we drugged you so you would sleep more." He tells me

I stay quiet and look around to take in my surroundings

I look down to see I'm still in the same clothes that I was in when they took me

I almost sigh in relief

There was a fireplace in the front of the room, the fire sparkled in the dark room

"Does your head still hurt?" Matt asks

I nod, unsure of what to do

He pours me a glass of pure red wine

"Drink this." He instructs me

I hesitantly take the glass from his hands and drink the entire thing

He rakes a hand through my hair and clutches my hand in his large one

I pull away, thinking of Theo. My beloved Theo, what was he doing now? Was he looking for me? What was happening at the castle?

The wine tasted disgusting but overtime, it helped my headache calm down

"Why are you doing this Matt?" I ask, lifting my eyes to only see that he was already staring at me

"Because I love you."

"Theo is your brother!" I exclaim

He shakes his head "Half brother. That bastard got everything, and what do I get? To work in the castle stables and starve like a homeless man."

"You could have came to me, I would have helped you." I try to ease him, he was getting worked up and I didn't want to be his victim of his rage

He chuckles "I don't beg."

"I wouldn't consider it begging, if we were friends." I say honestly

He stays quiet

I touch his rough hands lightly "Matt, if you return me back to my home. I'll let you live." I try to nigoticate with him

He smirks at me "I'm never going to let you go."

I almost punch him, try to make him unconscious but as I try to think of a plan, the man with the black cloak steps into the room.

HEYY OKAY SO NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE A LITTLE OF THEO'S POV!!
