Winter's pov:
Yesterday, I did some shopping and was able to get a bed. Unfortunately, though, no couch. But that's ok. I can save up. I saw one I really liked.
But today, I want to explore the city before I start my residency at the hospital in a few days. First things first, coffee.
Preferably, not at the coffee shop from yesterday. I don't want to take a chance into running into those guys again.
I looked on Google and saw one a few blocks down from me and it looked likes they serve breakfast too. I decided I was gonna do a little bit of studying there while I'm enjoying my breakfast.
I changed into my favorite outfit and headed out, making sure I locked my apartment on the way out. I didn't live in the best of areas, but it's better than nothing. I can make this work.
I walked in and looked around to see a few people. One had his headset plugged in while studying. And the other looked to be like a young couple grabbing a coffee before they started their day.
I ordered my usual coffee and a blueberry muffin. I took a seat in a booth and waited for my order.
Soon it came, hot and fresh. I took a bite into the muffin and hummed at how delicious it tasted. I then opened up my phone and did some reading.
The coffee tasted delicious as always but I don't know why I was getting drowsy all of a sudden. Coffee wakes me up and gets me going. Why am I having trouble staying awake?
I rubbed my eyes when I felt the booth seat dip, indicating someone sat next to me. I frowned and looked to see who sat next to me and I felt myself go into panic mode. I tried scooting away from him, but the wall stopped me from doing so.
"You should learn to be more careful principessa. There are some bad people around here" He smirked.
It was the same guy from yesterday at the coffee shop.
I started panicking even more. I was still drowsy and it was getting worse, and I realized... he drugged me. I began looking around for help, but everyone was gone. How convenient.
"Shh shh. It's ok, Winter." He cooed, caressing my cheek, making me flinch at his touch.
This didn't help my panicking. How did he know my name? I've never given my name to the baristas from yesterday or today.
"Please... lea-" I got dizzy and it became hard to keep my eyes open. I felt my body being pulled into his firm body. I could hear his steady heartbeat.
"It's ok. You're just gonna take a nap." He stated quietly.
I whimpered as I felt the darkness that I was battling so hard... win.

Nicolas' pov:
I got someone to look into her, and it didn't take them long.
Winter Albertine. 21 years old. Born and raised in Virginia. In nursing school, and just got into a residency program at a hospital in Virginia 6 months ago. She just moved in a few days ago and is continuing her residency here. Mother, Alyx Albertine, passed away in a car accident 2 years ago. Dad, Theon Albertine, is still alive. One brother, Kai Albertine, 25, still lives with his father in Virginia. No mention of friends. She had a roommate in Virginia, but doesn't look like they keep in touch.
I've had my best tracker, Jason, follow her all day yesterday. He sent pictures of her every now and then.
She is so beautiful. I couldn't stop thinking about her. All I wanted to do was hold her and have her in my arms. I never felt so... possessive before. The more I thought about her, the more I wanted her to be mine. All mine.
I'm currently in my office standing next to the window, thinking about what I should do. I need her so bad. And I still can't understand why. Something about her calls me to her.
My phone buzzed and it was Jason, sending me a picture of her walking into a coffee shop. She had her hair down again today, wearing a black and blue outfit. Looking just as good as she did yesterday. Perfect.
I don't know what took over me, but I suddenly got an idea and called him.
"Drug her drink. I'll be there soon."
And hung up.Shit. I'm going to regret this later.

When I walked in, I saw her sitting in a booth drawn to something on her phone. She looked so focused with her eyebrows frowned a little and her lips pressed together.I was about to walk over there when a movement caught my eye. A kid, around 17 years old, was on the other side of the cafe and studying. I needed him out. I didn't want him here when I took her home. To our home.
I walked up to the owner that I knew and told him to kick the guy out and to close up for the day.
He obeyed without question. I watched how he quickly told the kid to leave and the owner close up.
I looked at Winter, who didn't notice him close up. I could tell the drug was taking effect as she rubbed her eyes, struggling to keep her eyes open.
I made my way over and sat down next to her.
I watched her look at me, with a frown at first, and then with wide eyes as she recognized me. She tried to get away from me, but couldn't as the wall prevented her."You should learn to be more careful, principessa. There are some bad people around here." I felt myself smirk.
My heart ached when I saw her panic and look around for help.
"Shh shh. It's ok, Winter." I brought my hand up to caress her cheek, trying to calm her down.
But I didn't help, as I saw her panic worsen. And my heart ached a little when I felt her flinch.
"Please... lea-" She being begging, but stopped when the effect of the drug was working. She was passing out.
I brought her to me, with her head on my chest. I ran my hands through her soft, brunette hair, to calm her down.
"It's ok. You're just gonna take a nap."
I heard her whimper and after a short while, I realized she passed out.
I didn't waste anymore time. I got up and carried her bridal style out to my SUV.
I laid her down, with her head on my lap, telling the driver to take us home.
I looked down at her sleeping form and smiled. She looked so peaceful.
I felt my heart warm up as I held her hand.
"Oh, principessa. What are you doing to me?"
