Winter's pov:
The first two months were rough. With me getting over the fact that I killed someone and Nic finding his strength again. Thankfully, he was able to leave the wheelchair and move onto the forearm crutches. They offered a walker and he turned bright red. He immediately said no to that.
Five months after that, he could walk on his own. Doc still told him to take it easy for a little bit, but that went through one ear and out the other. He was way to eager to walk on his own. He ran to the car and drove home, despite my protest.
We are all so happy we went out and celebrated. We rented the restaurant out so we could have it to ourselves. We even brought Marco, who is doing so much better, and hope with us.
Being here, with all of them... I felt at home. Nic and I got closer these past few months. Sure, we've had our ups and downs, but what couple doesn't. We worked out our differences and got stronger as a couple. When I wasn't with him, I was nursing. Which, I graduated this spring. Everything seemed to be turning around for the better.
Chloe knows about Nic's business. Said she can put two and two together. She promised she wouldn't say a word, and thankfully, Nic believed her. Chloe and Jax have gotten closer recently. And I ship them hard. And Chloe's little boy, Eli, definitely needed a father figure around. Especially since his father bailed when he was four.
Ari told me to call her mom, which I was grateful for. Ever since I started calling her mom, it seemed right. No she isn't replacing my other mother, but Ari is just as good. I am so grateful to have a mother I can share things with, like I could with my own mother. I just don't tell her about the sex. It kinda weird.
Bruno and Melissa and their daughter have been doing great. Melissa let's me get some practice in with Hope, so that when I have my own, I know what to do somewhat.
Bruno would sometimes have to step in as mafia king when Nic couldn't. We now have control over the mafia in Italy and made alliances with Ireland and Russia.
As I stood by the bar of the restaurant, I couldn't help but smile as I observed how happy everyone is. Then I felt someone dragging me outside.
"Eli. Where are you taking me?""Come on. I have something to show you." He didn't look back. He just continued to pull me by the hand.
He led me to the fountain that was behind the restaurant. And there was Nic, with his back facing me. "Nic?" I called out.
Then I heard the sounds of little feet and giggles running away. What is going on?
Nic turned around and smiled. I squinted my eyes at him. He has that look of, 'I'm about to tell you something really important'.
"What's going on Nic?" I walked over to him by the fountain.
"Mi amore," he tucked a lose strand of hair behind my ear. He leaned in and kissed me softly. "Everyday I'm grateful to you. I wouldn't know where I would be if you didn't give me a chance. And I most definitely wouldn't be here if you didn't save me. And not just from Lucien." He took my hand, and kissed my palm. "And everyday, I want to hold you and kiss you as if the end was coming."
I giggled. "Silly. You do that anyways."
He chuckled. "I know. And I feel like all of that would be so much better if you had my last name.." he got on one knee and I gasped in surprise. He held out a ring with a purple stone and like black tentacles around it. It's a Disney ring. "With a ring on your finger. Winter Albertine, will you marry me?"
I was so happy, I felt like my heart was beating out of my chest. "Ye-yes." I stuttered. "As long as you don't mind me having a round belly on our wedding day." I smiled nervously. I was trying to figure out how to tell him. Guess this is the prefect time.
He frowned. "Why would I-" the look of recognition came across his face. "Wait. Are you telling me you're... pregnant?"
I nodded, letting laughter escape my lips as I watch his reaction. He stood up quickly, picking me up and twirled me. He then put me down after a few twirls and put the Ursula diamond Disney ring on my finger.
"You have no idea how happy I am, Winter." He kissed my cheek. He's co cute. Smiling like a little kid in a candy store.
"I have some."

"Ladies and gentlemen." Nic raised his voice so everyone could hear him.
We decided to tell everyone the news, since everyone was here already. He held me close to him, with vodka raised in his hand, and decaf tea in mine.
We had everyone's attention on us now. "We would like to make and announcement." I said.
"Firstly, I am forever grateful for the loyalty you have all shown in the past year." Nic continued. "Not just to me, but your future queen as well. Second... Bruno?" Nic called Bruno over, and he strolled over. "How would you like to be the best man at my wedding?" Bruno's face lit up as I showed him the ring.
"And The Godfather to our child?" I asked.
Suddenly, there was loud cheers everywhere. Everyone was happy with our news. Poor Bruno looked so speechless. You could see the smile appear on his face, but no words could come out.
"He would love to." Melissa came in and helped him out. "Wouldn't you?" Well, at least we got him to nod.
Nic and I smiled in delight and we looked at each other.
"Nicolas Ruggiero. Ti amo tanto." Oh, and did I mention, I'm practically fluent in Italian.
"Winter Albertine. Ti amo tanto." We kissed each other with cheers and music surrounding us. I've never felt happier. I can't wait to see where the road takes me from here.
