Winter's pov:

"Hello Winter." His voice sent unwanted disgusting shivers down my spine. These shivers were different from the shivers I'd get from Nicolas.

I was grateful Nic stood close. He stood behind by the door, ready to pounce if this dude said or did the wrong thing.

"My," he looked me up in down. I felt even more disgusted. "The pictures don't do you justice."

"What do you want?" I snapped. I'm so done with this right now.

"Straight to the point. I like it." He smirked. "I wanted to let you know who Nic truly is."

"If you're here to talk about that he's the King of the mafia and the has a lot of blood on his hands, save your breath. I already know all these things." I deeply sighed in frustration.

He frowned. "And yet you date him? You choose to stay with him?"

I wasn't going to tell him that Nic took me by force. Instead, I told him, "Everyone deserves a chance. That includes Nic."

He scoffed. "You poor girl. How delusional and naive can you get?"

"Careful." I heard Nic say behind me. Clearly not like the words that were just thrown at me. I didn't either.

"Where is Lucien?" I changed the subject.

"Ah. I'm not finished with my convers-"

"Well I am." I'm highly annoyed now with this guy. "There's is absolutely no reason I need to be here. No reason for you to talk to me."

"I can tell you a few things you don't know about oh high and mighty Nicolas over there." He mocked, pointing to the man behind me. What was this dude trying to accomplish?

I rolled my eyes. "Look, I don't want to hear it from you. If I wanted to know, I will hear it from him. So whatever you're trying to do here, isn't going to work."

There was dead silence in the room for a while. He starred at me without blinking as if trying to intimidate me. But from he was, it wasn't gonna work. And me. I just watched him. Showing him that what he was trying to do since I got here wasn't working.

He sighed in defeat. "Fine." He grumbled. "The place I lead you to, was never his hideout." He started laughing. "His place is right across the street." His laughed continued.

I turned around to see Nic, but he was close behind me, all I had to do was turn my head. He looked annoyed, mad and a little happy.

"Why would you tell us where he is? I thought your loyalty was with him." I turned my attention back to the creep.

"It does." He said after he stopped laughing. "He told me, to tell you where he is if you came. But he also said that would never happen so he wasn't worried about that happening. He loves his games."

"Why does he want my position so badly?" Nic asked.

The creeps eyes slowly made its way to Nic's, a sly smile upon his face. "Because he said can run a better empire than you."

"And you're gonna take his word for it?" I raised my eyebrows in disbelief that people can be that dumb. But you know, they do surprise me.

I watched his smile fall and someone's hand on my arm. "Come on." Nic gently pulled my upper arm and lead me outside, leaving the creep behind.

Nicloas' pov:

I wanted to kill him for the way he was looking at her, and I will. Later . I could tell she was getting uncomfortable but she toughed it out. And I couldn't help but quietly snicker at the responses she had for him.
