The Great Hall crowded with students as they arrived at Hogwarts for the school year, all dressed in their dark black robes, waiting impatiently for the magnificent feast that was to come. Gali and Kate plopped down on the bench beside each other, and a few students down the dark oak table were Scott, Zedmir, and Missandra, talking about their summers. Across the star lit Hall was Kassie, Blake, and Wes, sitting silently. Ellie from Gryffindor, strode into the Great Hall with her Head Girl badge clipped to her robes, guiding people to there seats. Lena and Sagittaria gossiped to each other, as Stelth sat down beside them.
"Attention!" a roaring voice said from the front of the Hall.
"We'd like to start the Sorting Ceremony, so please settle down," Headmaster Droobledore said. The gleaming doors of the Great Hall opened, skidding against the stone floor. Un-Sorted first years marched in, stumbling over each other trembling. After the Sorting...
"Let the feast begin!" Droobledore said, in a cheery voice, as he waved his wand through the air; fire emitted from his wand and sliced through the air, spelling "Welcome." Plates and goblets appeared out of thin air, making the empty table tops bursting full of food.
"I'll take the first slice of the Cherry Cake!" Zedmir said, grabbing a knife.
"No!" Missandra replied in an snobby gone, grabbing for the cake. Scott eyed the Staff table, noticing Professor Parkinson was not present in her gold chair, near the right side of the wall."Lohs-wto-hust-warkjef-ib!" Blake blurted out, his mouth stuffed with food.
"What?" Kassie said, curious about what Blake said.
"Look who just walked in, it's the new Professor," Blake said.
Halfway to the front of the Great Hall by now, the Wizard tromped down the hall further. His long cloak crept behind him, a shade of Emerald. He shuffled around the Staff table, and sat down where the Muggle Studies Professor was assigned to sit. Across the Ravenclaw table, Ellie and Isabella were deep in conversation about the Atmospheric Charm, or any type of Charm they wanted to be taught. Scott bit into his bread, then took a big spoonful of soup. The feast soon ended, and all who attended travelled to their Common Rooms, to go to bed, and wake up for their classes in the morning.
