Dayved's POV
It was now a week from the Yule Ball, all girls and boys were looking for dates and it was chaos. I wanted to ask Kassie, I've always liked her. She never talks to me, or noticed me. Stelth was going with Sagittaria, Gali with Wes, and Natalina with a Uagadou boy. I was starving, I headed towards the Great Hall. I was halfway down the seventh floor corridor when I heard giggling and laughing. That was when I saw it, Blake locked lips with Ellie. I knew something was up with those two. I hid in the shadows of the corridor, and walked down the Grand Staircase out of their sight. Down at the Great Hall, everyone seemed to be asking each other to the ball, and I saw Kassie. I strode up to her and blurted it out.
"Do-you-want-to-go-to-the-Yule-ball-with-me?" I said, blurting it out in Kassie's face.
"Uh, sorry?" she said, wondering what j said.
"I was wondering, do you...want to go to the ball with me?"
"Oh, um," Kassie started, "sure, I'll go."
"Great," I said, "that wasn't so bad."Ellie's POV
Blake and I were getting serious, I think I like him more than Zedmir. He kissed me today, and I'm going to the ball with him. He's only in two of my classes, so I only see him at night. We usually go to the Astronomy tower to "catch up". I never knew Blake was so surreal, we are so passionate. I knew what I was wearing to the Yule Ball, and I was going to impress Blake.
Kassie's POV
"Do-you-want-to-go-to-the-Yule-ball-with-me?" Dayved blurted in my face. I think I knew what he said, but I was making sure. Me going to the Yule ball with Dayved? We were just friends, but I didn't want to let him down.
"Uh, sorry?" I said, pretending I didn't hear correctly.
"Do you want to go the Yule ball with me?" he said, firmly.
"Oh , um," I said, "sure, I'll go."
"Great," he said, then mumbled something under his breath. I left for Defence Against the Dark Arts and travelled to Professor Sunstrider's room.Rilianne's POV
I scrambled through the portrait of the Gryffindor common room out into corridor and Regulus was there.
"Oh hi, what's up?" I said.
"Hey, got a date to the ball?
"No, are you asking me?" I smiled.
"Yeah, if you want."
"I'll go," I said, "see you at class." I walked down to the Great Hall for breakfast, had two stacked pancakes and orange juice, then travelled towards Professor Gaunt's classroom. The corridors were bonkers! Bubbleina accepted a date to the ball from Dusk, and was cheering. The classroom was less loud, so I hit the books and got to work.Later that day...
Scott's POV
I was ready for the ball, I had my suit, shoes and I showered. I'm the DJ at the ball, hired by Hunter, the Head of Ravenclaw. The Gryffindor common room was quiet, only the golden flames in the fireplace crackled, eating up the wood. I heard the trampling of feet speeding down from the dormitories; it was Dayved.
"Ready," he said.
"Alright," I said, fixing my tie.
"Go find your date, they're probably waiting."
"Yeah, I should," Dayved said, a nervous glance swallowed his face. Dayved scrambled through the portrait and left to his date. I wonder who it is? I put on my shiny black shoes and left the Common room. Halfway down the seventh floor corridor I saw them. Ellie and Blake. They were holding hands and leaning on each other. I strode near them, wondering if they'd notice me.
"Hey," I said.
"Hey," Ellie said, winking at Blake.
"I'm going down to the ball," I said.
Ellie nodded and turned back to Blake and her dress twisted with her.
The Great Hall was decorated beautifully. Ice wedges hung down twinkling in the moonlight of the Great Hall ceiling, which was magically enchanted. Christmas trees had fluffs of the cold soft snow and tinsel strung around it. I walked up to the DJ station, and watched the front doors as people strode in together. Dayved and Kassie walked in; Dayved tried holding Kassie's hand but she slid away. I played some soft songs as people walked in, then was forced to get prepared for the Champions Dance by Professor Gregorovitch. The doors opened when the chatting and babbling died down and the champions busted in holding hands. Sagittaria was with her boyfriend Stelth, than followed behind her was the Uagadou champion and- it was Natalina! I saw the smirk on her face as she clutched onto his hand. The Mahoutokoro champion was with Gali; it wasn't a surprise since she was bragging about it all week. She must've dumped Wes off to side to go with the champion. I twisted the knobs on the player and the music cranked up. The dancers took each other's hands and began to slide and twist on the dance floor. The Mahoutokoro champion lifted Gali airborne then she was caught down to the ground again. After the champions dance, there was a break so we could sit down and talk with our friends. I wasn't sure where Ellie and Blake were so I sat with Kassie and Dayved near the side of the Great Hall where the Hufflepuff table used to be.Natalina's POV
He was so dreamy. The dance was magical and I'll always remember it. He guided me down to a table with his friends and left to get drinks, so I plopped down and talked with them about their school. Abbe came back five minutes later holding two mugs of Butterbeer.
"What took you so long?" I said, grinning.
"I went to get drinks, remember?" he said, in his African accent.
"Yeah, but it took longer tha- never mind," I said. I sipped from my Butterbeer, and the fluff of it got on my mouth; I giggled. Professor Gregorovitch stood up to say the dance floor is free for dancing, and I was asked by Abbe to dance. Of course, I said yes. He guided me to the dance floor and we danced for about ten minutes before I started feeling dizzy.
"I'm going to go freshen up," I said, stabilizing myself from falling. He nodded and kissed my hand, then I left the Great Hall. I wasn't feeling good at all, and I began to run for the bathroom. A saw a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I ran in; I looked pale. I locked myself in the stall, and put the lid of the toilet down at sat.Ellie's POV
I didn't want to leave Blake, but I had to use the bathroom.
"I'll be right back," I said, slipping away from his hand. The bathroom was so far away and every metre that I walked meant I was further away from Blake. It was all the way up on the third floor corridor, so I had to move quickly in order to make it back fast enough for the band that was supposed to play soon. I looked in the mirror to see if I looked good, and in the corner of the reflection were two feet with high heels on. Oh my god... I walked over, pulled out my wand and casted 'Alohomora'. The stall door unlocked itself, and I tugged it open. It was Natalina lying on the floor beside the toilet, she was dead.
