Droobledore's POV

"Get the students in the Great Hall," I said, "we must hurry." Professor Gregorovitch turned to me, "is it him?"
"I cannot tell, but we must be cautious." I directed Staff to get all students safe in the Great Hall, and began to scurry down the tall stone staircase, which lead to the entrance of my office. On the seventh floor corridor, Magatha met me halfway to the Great Hall.
"How'd you know he's telling the truth?" said Magatha.
"Scott is an exceedingly magnificent student in Divination, and I've been told by Professor Parkinson he's the only one who can see insights on the future," I replied.
"You're right, Scott wouldn't lie," Magatha said, shaking her head foolishly. I pulled my robes away from my feet so I wouldn't step on them, then placed my bright purple hat on my head. The Great Hall was packed with drowsy students, all dressed in their pyjamas and half zombie-like. I elbowed past them up to the front podium, then shouted, "SILENCE!"
The room went dead, and everyone stared at me with pale faces. Scott was in the back of the room, his eyes dark and filled with fear.
"You are wondering why I brought you here this late at night? Am I correct?" I said, "the answer is-"
I was cut off by a skull mashing voice, that sounded crisp and angry.
"We will protrude into the castle in half-an-hour, anyone who stands in my way will be killed, I want the school and Droobledore will fall," the voice said, echoing the room. My stomach sank, and I clutched the podium to stabilize myself. Students began to panic, and the room was in shock. I mumbled over to the Heads of houses, "get all year fours and under out of here, the rest may stay and fight." They shuffled over to each house of theirs, then marched them out of the castle. Would I survive this battle, or would this be the end for me?

Scott's POV

I was going to stay to fight for my school and friends, and no one could change my mind. I scampered through the portrait to the Gryffindor Common room, then stripped off my pyjamas. I pulled on a blue t-shirt, some jeans, and stuck my wand in my back pocket. Professor's were prepping for battle, placing traps and dangerous things around the castle. That half-an-hour soon became ten minutes, and everything was chaos. Professor Parkinson shuffled by me carrying three crystal balls in her hand, followed by Dayved, Gali, and Rosie, who were all carrying three each. Magatha Gaunt strew up several large Venomous Tentacula which wrapped around the stone bridge, harming whoever ran near them. I knew this battle would be dangerous, but I didn't know if I'd make it out alive.

Ellie's POV

I was guiding students down to the Hogwarts Express, to escape the castle grounds and stay safe. The look on the first years face was horrific, they were pale, some even crying. Most of the oldest students were staying to help, like me. As soon as we arrived at the Express, I saw Blake trying to board it, carrying his trunk and rat. What a coward! I stormed up to him, "what are you doing?" I said feverishly.
"I'm boarding the train," he said, "what do you think I'm doing."
"You're a coward, let your friends die so you can save yourself," I said, drenched from the wetness of my tears.
"Back off," he said, pushing me back onto the pavement. He pushed me. I got up holding my wand and pushed him. The Hogwarts Express zoomed by smashing into Blake sending him under the train. Blake's lifeless body sat on the bloody tracks; his eyes glistening with tears. I killed him. I killed Blake.

Rosie's POV

I was with Professor Parkinson, juggling the crystal balls to take into the battle. We now had at least five minutes, and were nowhere near prepared. We were on top of the Clock Tower, waiting for the Dark Lords followers to attack. A sudden ear-screeching roar came echoing over the hill, then clumps of Deatheaters were storming into the wooden bridge, sending flashes of light and curses in all directions. The battle had begun, and they were forcing into the castle. I threw the heavy crystal balls off the
roof, landing on one Deatheaters head. "There's so many, Professor Parkinson!!" I yelled.
"Please, call me Hazel," she said calmly, dropping more balls on them. Eventually, we couldn't keep up with all the Deatheaters, and they scampered into the castle, roaring and cackling.

Scott's POV

The battle had begun, and fluffs on black smoke were Apparting through the air, followed by green light and hexes. The courtyard was full of people fighting, sending curses back and forth, eventually killing one another. I was attacked by Tom Rookwood, who send a killing curse at me. I dodged it and shot a spell from the tip of my wand, "SECTUMSEMPRA!"
The spell exploded from my wand, splitting open his chest. Blood drained out of him, making him pale. I felt sick, and watched his body thump onto the ground. I was distracted by a loud roar, which came from the bridge in front of the Great Hall. Giants were stomping over the bridge, ripping apart the Venomous Tentacula that didn't stand a chance. The torches flickered every step a giant took. There were at least four, all charging at us. Everyone cleared the wake of the giant, but was shocked to see Droobledore charging out of the Great Hall. He waved his wand, and the giant hurdled backwards through the air and onto the bridge, which collapsed under its weight.
"STAY OUT OF MY SCHOOL!" he yelled, tugging out the sword of Gryffindor. He sliced it through the air and into one of the Giants leg; it plopped off and the giant fell down. I was suddenly hit from the side by something large, which knocked me over. I felt dizzy, then placed my hands on the ground to push myself up. I could see Elaviel standing there. She was a student, not much older than me. She struck her wand down and a clump of chains shot out trying to strangle me. They wrapped around my neck and my chest; every second I struggled it got tighter.
"Relashio!" a voice yelled. The chains split apart and burned up, freeing me. It was Sagittaria, a friend of Elaviel.
"Elaviel, why are you doing this?" Sagittaria said.
"I-I-have to, I'm his faithful servant," she said, crying. She waved her wand and a curse came hurdling towards Sagittaria, but was blocked by a glimmering shield. I casted Stupefy and she fell to the ground, stunned. The ground was littered with bodies of the fallen and seriously injured.
"Reducto!" a voice said, followed by a yellow spark of light bursting through the air into the Great Hall. The left side of the roof caved in, sending rubble and dust shooting out of the Entrance Hall. The tree's across the bridge waved back and forth, almost snapping. What was doing that? Dragons swiftly emerged out of the treetops, breathing fire at students who never even stood a chance.
"Get inside!" I yelled, pushing people into the castle.
"Go! Hurry!"
The doors of the castle were slammed by Droobledore and Professor Gregorovitch. We sat in silence and fear of what would happen next.

Ellie's POV

I chased Dayved through the Clock tower, trying to catch him.
"Dayved, stop!" I yelled, following him down the creaky stairs. He stopped at the bottom, out of breath. I came closer to him, but he started backing away.
"Dayved, please," I said.
"You're a monster!" he said, eyes tearing up.
"It was an accident," I didn't mean to!" I shuffled forward one step, and he backed up.
"STAY BACK!" he screamed, scaring me. I tried grabbing him but he jumped backwards, only to meet a swinging pendulum which smashed into him, making him crumple to the ground. "No, no," I said, trying to shake him. Dayved laid on the stone floor, not stirring. I'm a monster, that's what I am.
