"Oh, hurry up!" Sagittaria said, swinging her Muggle Studies book at Stelth, who was stuffing as much food as he could fit into his mouth.
"Yeesh! I'm coming!"
Stelth and Sagittaria left the Great Hall, hurrying up to their class. Scott, Ellie, Kassie, Wes, Gali, and Natalie all had a double Divination block in twenty minutes. Divination was Scott's favourite. The clump made their way up to the Divination Tower, climbing the spiral stairwell.
"I wonder if Zedmir will be in this class," Ellie said, getting dreamy-eyed.
Kassie rolled her eyes, ignoring her.
Scott clutched the his books Xylomancy by Selina Sapworhy, and Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky. The group climbed up the wooden stairs, which lead under the benches and into the classroom. A large aroma of incense blew into their faces, as they plopped down onto the benches. Scott opened his Dream Journal, and began scribbling down words that Dayved was drowning at in confusion. A jingling sound entered the room, as the Professor was tapping down the stairs as the beads on her robes bounced up and down.
"Hello, my sweethearts..." Professor Parkinson said, in a dreamy voice.
"Today, we'll be looking at the noble art of Scrying, or Crystal Ball-gazing.
"Please take a look in front of you," Professor Parkinson said. She flicked her wand through the air, and foggy crystal balls appeared, giving a mysterious essence.
"We must use our Inner Eye to see insights of the future," Parkinson said.
"You," she said, pointing at Dayved, "what do you see?"
"Erm... I see fog," Dayved said, squinting into the ball.
Professor Parkinson backed up, "the moment you entered my classroom, I knew you did not possess the skill for the art of Divination, pity..." Dayved gave a disgusted look, and sunk back into his chair.
"Scott, my dear, what do you see?"
"I see me, soaring through the air on a broomstick... I'm holding the Quidditch House cup," Scott said, proudly.
"Very well, you have much potential in the art of Divination," Parkinson said, as her eyes popped out at him from the lenses of her glasses. No one else wanted to try to read the crystal ball, so Professor Parkinson gave the class an assignment in their Dream Journal. Scott scribbled down sentences like a maniac and Dayved stared down at his blank piece of paper. Wes started throwing spitballs halfway through; one hit Professor Parkinson which earned him a detention. The bell rang and they packed up their school bags, and headed down the stairwell.
"That didn't make any sense!" Dayved said, burying his face in his hands.
"Yes, it did," Scott said in a snarky remark.
"Erm..." Dayved began, "Transfiguration-"
"Guys!" Kassie said, out of breath, "Droobledore has an announcement in the Great Hall!"
Kassie, Scott, and Dayved scrambled down to the Great Hall, past Beeves the Poltergeist who made rude remarks at Dayved. From the marble staircase, they could see students filling the empty hall. At the front of the Great Hall, Droobledore stood at a podium. Next to him were the Head of Houses, and Professors.
"Welcome! Sorry to interrupt you from your classes, but we have an announcement!"
"No, thank you," Dayved muttered.
"We are pleased to announce, that our school will be holding the Triwizard Tournament once more!"
"Wait, what?" Scott said, with an excited look on his face. Cheers and laughing filled the hall, covering up the sound of Droobledore's voice.
"Silence! Silence!"
"The schools joining us are," he said, pointing his wand at the Great Hall doors which bursted open, "Mahoutokoro School of Magic, and Uagadou School of Magic!"
Students in long Kimonos tip-toed down the centre of the Great Hall, leaning to the side releasing Cherry Blossoms from the palm of their hands. Next, tall boys stomped down the centre, throwing knives into the air, and blowing fire. Uagadou girls flipped across the stone floor, the boys following behind. The schools stood in rows at the front behind Droobledore, blocking the view of the Professors.
"Give a warm welcome to Mahoutokoro's Headmaster, Daichi Daisuke!"
Everyone clapped, turning their heads to see the tall thin man, wearing a Kimono of silk with flowery patterns flowing down the front and back. Over at the Slytherin table, Natalie went dreamy-eyed looking at a Uagadou boy at the front.
"Everyone give a hand for Chukwuemeka Jabari, Uagadou's Headmaster!"
Once more, clapping filled the Great Hall, as everyone was full of excitement.
"Please sit at a table," Droobledore said to the schools, "there's a seat for you up here Headmasters."
"Now, there will be rules to this tournament, for it is not for the faint of heart. We have a Ministry Official to explain the rules, Nathaniel Wolf!"
A short man with round glasses and a talk dapper hat plopped up at the front. Dangling from his neck, was a long crystal necklace.
"These rules apply to all of you, no exceptions," he pulled out a large piece of parchment and began to read, "no one under the age of sixteen will be able to enter the tournament-"
"Aw! Come on! That's stupid!" Wes yelled, as more people began to shout.
Droobledore held his wand to his neck and yelled, "SILENCE."
The hall became silent and Nathaniel began to read once more.
"There will be one champion from each school. You must be experienced in spells and charms, as these are dangerous tasks. There are three tasks over the year."
After the reading of the rules, the feast began. The Mahoutokoro's sat at the Ravenclaw table, and Zedmir talked to a Japanese girl, with long black hair and bright blue eyes. Ellie rolled her eyes at them. The Uagadou's sat with the Gryffindors, and Dayved and Scott were eyeing a pretty girl with her hair tied back, and a long silver dress.
"Woah," Scott said, looking at her.
"Yeah, I wish we could participate in the tournament," Dayved said.
"I don't."
"We'll have to see who puts their name in tomorrow," Dayved said.
