Kassie's POV

It glistened and glided across the room, sending sparks of light blinding me. He looked almost angelic, and I was terrified yet happy from seeing him. The stone kept rotating, twisting around through the air, hovering.
"Dayved..." I said, "how?"
Dayved looked at me with a straight face, then turned around. I examined the stone, placing it in the palm of my hand.
"The Resurrection Stone," I said, recalling what I learnt in Magical Objects class.

Dayved just stood there, not wanting to speak or look at me.
"Can you speak?" I said, trying to move myself around so he could see me. Footsteps trampled up the staircase, startling me. I dropped the stone, and Dayved's half-body shrunk into grey shrivelled ball of light, fading away into the air.
"No!" I said, picking up the Resurrection Stone. The door creaked open, and Ellie's wispy chestnut hair twisted around the wood.
"Kassie?" Ellie said, widening the crack in-between the door. I was on the bed, cupping my face in my hands. Ellie came over, crouching down in front of me.
"What's wrong?" Ellie said, frowning.
"I saw him," I said, opening the palm of my hand.
Ellie's jaw dropped, "is that what I think it is?"
I nodded.

Scott's POV

The castle was half destroyed, full of burning bright flames. Most of us were injured, at least a few scrapes and bruises. My right arm was broken, from a fall caused by a collapsing Grand Staircase. But, we were all safe now. Safe from the man and his followers who destroyed our school, our home. Large quantities of bodies were being levitated on stretchers, gliding into the Great Hall.
"Scott, you're hurt..." Gali said, touching my cut. It stung and I brushed her hand away, backing up.
"Are you okay?" I said.
"Yeah, I guess I'm fine, at least I'm alive."
"Where were you during the battle?" I said, knowing that I never saw her.
"Upper Battlements," Gali said. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something that worried me.
"What?" Gali said, as I ran towards the stretcher.
It was Dayved; dead as can be. His eyes were dark, his face pale and cold, all topped off with a menacing grin. His bulging forehead was seasoned with his own blood, shimmering with sweat.
"Dayved..." I said, falling to my knees.
"Scott? What?" Gali said, trotting over to me.
Gali gasped, falling down beside me. She rested her head on my shoulder, then cried, holding Dayved's hand.

Gali and I sat in the Ravenclaw Common room, even though I wasn't allowed to be inside, since I'm not a Ravenclaw. She read her book, "Fantastic Beasts and where to find them," while I looked at the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw. It was quiet up in the Ravenclaw tower, peaceful, and I was with my friend. Since we got up here, every feeling and thought I had from this night seemed to fade away. The stars twinkled above us, making me feel as though I was in space, outside the universe I inhabited. The whole tower seemed almost untouched by the battle; everything was intact. Not a single book had been moved. Gali and I just sat up in the tower for the rest of the night, looking at the stars and castle around us.

Gwyndolyn Gregorovitch's POV

The castle looked like several bombs were dropped, littered with rubble and students. It was early in the morning, and I was in charge of the Gryffindor's, whose job was repairing pieces and sections of the exterior of the school. Half of them were dumbly standing, waiting for instructions.
"What are you waiting for?" I said, withdrawing my wand and pointing at the Great Hall window. I snapped my wand towards the shattered window, watching slivers of glass puzzle back into their place.
"How did you do that?" said Missandra, with a frustrated look on her face.
"I suggest you ask your fellow classmate," I said, pointing to Alan. Alan was waving his wand and bricks were floating back into place, followed by a crowd of confused students running towards him.

Three hours later, we finished the Great Hall. The ceiling was reinstated and seemed stable, all that needed fixing was the enchanted sky beneath the rafters (it was thundering and lightning.) The Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Common's were perfectly fine, but the Gryffindor's needed repairing. The wall of the Gryffindor Common room was blown apart, and the fireplace was half destroyed. Parts of the staircase were pulled out, and the window was shattered. The painting of the Fat Lady had a large tear in it, making her look scared and shaky. Once I mended the painting, I repaired the wall, watching pieces of brick re-fix themselves and fit perfectly in place. The window came back after another wave of the wand; I also pointed my wand tip at the staircase, which moves and repaired itself. This was only half of the castle that needed repairing...
"Gwyndolyn!" Alex said, running towards me.
"Oh, good afternoon, Alex," I said, smiling. I was hiding my irritation for how much damage those lunatics did.
"You might want to check out the Slytherin Common room," Alex said, "Magatha and Sinelius had a rather large duel..."
I signed, and Alex and I swept down to the Common room. The wall hiding it was fine, but behind was a whole other story. The stone pillars that kept up the ceiling were crumbling and sitting on the floor, drenched in wax from candles. Of course, we had to fix it. It really shocked me when I discovered Magatha was a Deatheater, also Hazel. They were one of the few closest to me, and they knew all the secrets of the castle and how to get in without leaving a trace, which really terrified me.

Sagittaria's POV

The Great Hall looked better, but not the best it's been. Headmistress Allison reinstated the enchanted ceiling, making it look prettier than ever. The dead dragon and the large rotten giant bodies were being dealt with by Hunter F. Turpin (Head of Ravenclaw), who casted Evanesco in order to dispose of them. I repaired the banners in the Great Hall, watching their tears shrunk until they were no more.
"Hey sweetie!" Stelth said, making me jump.
"Oh, hello," I said. The cut under my eye seemed to have gotten blue and purple, and my leg ached even more today.
"Are you okay?" Stelth said, looking in my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just got to heal," I mumbled.
"Do you need to go to the Hospital wing?"
"No, I should be fine," I said. Stelth gave that I-know-you're-not-fine look, then began to open his mouth again.
"I have to help Professor Peverell with the Astronomy tower, catch you later," he said. Before he could leave, I left a kiss on his face, then continued with my work.

Later that day, Headmaster Droobledore called an assembly in the Great Hall. Bubbleina and Stelth sat beside me, determining the differences between Animagus' and Metamorphosis's. I got tired of their arguing and Droobledore got up to the front.
"Hello, my brave students," he began.
"I know we've faced horrible things last night, dealt with tragedies, pain, and loss... but we overcame that! We prevail, Hogwarts prevails!" he cheered, illuminating the Great Hall with his wand. I cheered, fist bumping the air.
"On Friday, we'll say a goodbye to all those brave hearts we lost," he said, "make sure you're all there."
He seemed to be able to walk now, since last time I saw him, his lower half looked burnt to a crisp. So many people that I loved were gone, Dayved, Blake, Elaviel, they were now in my hearts, they always were.

Ellie's POV

It was around midnight, and I had to use the bathroom. The door creaked as I opened it, making the house look even older. It was beautiful, but almost ancient. Halfway there, I stumbled upon a light glowing under the door. It was Kassie's door. What could she be doing this late? I pushed open the door, ready to startle her. She was on her bed, holding a dark stone, watching a boy glide around the room.
"Oh my god," I said. She gave me a frightened look, then stared back at him.
"What are you doing?" I said, looking at an angelic Dayved.
"How do I bring him back?" she said, frightened.
