Gali's POV

I held Natalina's pale hands, they were cold as concrete. She was laid down in the Hospital Wing beside a first year who was injured from Flying Class. Tears trickled down my cheeks, making my eyes go bloodshot. Why would someone do this? Madam Pomphrey came in holding a vase full of flowers and placed them down beside Natalina's bed.
"The funeral will be on Monday," Madam Pomphrey said, "I'm sorry for your loss."
"No- that's not good enough," I said.
"Pardon me?" she said, confused.
"I want to know," I said as my temper rose, "I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED!"
My scream echoed the clock tower and startled Madam Pomphrey. I turned around so no one could see my tears only to see Ellie, Sagittaria, Scott, Blake, Kassie, and Dayved. They all had sunken in faces and the girls had red eyes from crying.
"Gali, come here," Sagittaria said.
"No," I said. Natalina's eyes were still open, but I could not see those twinkling lights that looked at me when I first boarded the Hogwarts Express and that spine chilling smile that could make anyone happy. All I say was a blank pale face, that looked cold and lifeless. I pulled her eyelids shut with two fingers, then sat in the chai beside her. Who did this to my Nat?

Kassie's POV

I can't believe it. Natalina was one of my best friends from my house. She was beautiful, friendly, kind, and loving. All that was taken away from me in one night. I looked in the mirror as I put my earrings in, then pulled my hair up tightly. The funeral was today, on an island in the Black Lake. I headed up from the dungeons wearing all black, then ran into Gali sitting in the Great Hall courtyard. She was sitting on the stone steps; rain poured down on her.
"Gali..." I began, "um- want to head down together?"
"Yea-yeah, I'd like that." She looked frozen from the cold rain, so I took out my umbrella and it popped open over our heads. The pitter patter of the rain hitting the umbrella broke the silence that was between us. This hit Gali the most. Natalina and her were almost sisters. I was scared for Gali, and most of all I was scared for all of us. If someone murdered Natalina in cold blood, they had to have been in the castle. The funeral began when we sat down, and Droobledore said a few words, followed by Scott and Gali. There were chairs set up, and a white marble grave sat firmly in the ground. A casket was carried to the front; Natalina was inside. She was encased in the marble, then everyone said their goodbyes. Most of the girls were bawling, but the look on the boys faces is what hit me hard. They were gloomy and all looked half-dead, still in shock about what happened. I glanced over to Natalina's ball date Abbe, he wasn't even crying... He hung out with Natalina for the last four weeks and wasn't even acting like she meant something to him. What was wrong with him?
