Zedmir's POV
Gali hasn't been seen for three and a half days, and she's not the type to stay huddled up in the girls Common's. Scott, Alan, and I have searched most of the castle, except for some hidden passages which she would most likely not be in. We did find her broom at the Quidditch Pitch; it was scratched and snapped in two. A piece of her blue house scarf was stuck on a branch of the Whomping Willow, which was very hard to get. It was only until today, that Scott and I found her black shoe under the Willow, in the secret passage way. It's been made clear to us that she must've been through the passage. The outside world became strange since the battle, and Dantriomir just seemed to disappear. Daily Prophet halted after the duel, but the Quibbler protruded onwards. Until Xenophilius, Editor, was killed violently by a Deatheater. More Muggle killings were occurring, next Muggle-borns. I knew that the Deatheaters had control of the Ministry; the whole Wizarding World.
I withdrew my wand from my pocket, holding it securely in front of me. Scott was beside me, holding his curved black wand. The passage way was dark, smelled like rotten rat, and full of dirt and sand.
"Lumos," Scott mumbled, helping us find our way around the rock fragments. I knew where the passage led to; the Shrieking Shack. I knew because I went here with Natalina once, but we were trailed by Ellie. Ellie... that traitor. She betrayed us when we needed help the most. She killed Blake, then Dayved. Thoughts of Ellie floating around in my head were shaken out when a creak came up from ahead.
"Sorry if I startled you, just the stairs," Scott said.
We arrived at the cold dark oak staircase of the Shrieking Shack; Scott and I pushed the trapdoor open and scampered into the room. The old house had a gloomy, mysterious and dead feeling. It creaked and waved back and forth from the might of the strong wind.
"Check around for any signs that Gali was here," I said, picking up a book that belonged to the Hogwarts Library.
"Hey, how did this get he-"
"Zedmir, look," Scott said, pointing the the ground. "Looks like someone Apparated here."
Left in the centre of the room, were large skid marks from someone's shoe print.
"That's why they took this route," Scott began, "because you can't Apparate within the walls of Hogwarts."Kassie's POV
I climbed the large stairwell, followed by a metallic Phoenix, spreading its wings. Tiptoeing up the stairs, I clutched my wand in the palm of my sweaty hands. I was terrified, terrified of being caught inside Hogwarts, also because I was breaking into the Headmasters office. I remembered the password from a few years ago, I was told by Scott. He would've got into trouble if I snitched him out, but I went along with it, thinking it wouldn't be useful. Now, I needed it most. I pushed open the wooden door, catching a sliver of the room within the door crack. No one was inside, which gave me the advantage. The room seemed peaceful, but grew darker when I walked in. On the top shelf was a glass case, encased inside was the Elder wand. It was mended, but still wasn't at top condition; yet it was still the most powerful wand in the world. I withdrew my wand, "Diffindo." Waving my wand in a circle, the glass split in the same shape.
This was it, I could bring him back. Dayved, my love. The book led me to it, and all I needed was a life taken from another, which I already had. Poor Xenophilius, I said. The Quibblers trash, anyway. I performed the spell, thinking it wouldn't work. A large ball of slimy flesh appeared in the air, morphing into a body. A head sprouted out, followed by legs and arms. The face became definite, with two blue eyes, a nose and a mouth. Black coarse hair grew out of the head, thick and wavy. It was him, my Dayved. My stomach felt sick from the thought of seeing him again, what would I say?
He looked more human each second, then he looked perfect. He stared into my eyes, and I looked down shyly.
"Day-Dayved," I struggled the words out, looking away from him.
I couldn't speak, and I didn't think I could look at him. I closed my eyes, and brought him into an embrace, locking lips with him. It was surreal, and he was perfect.Gali's POV
"What do you want with me?" I shouted, spitting at Dantriomir's face.
Looking revolted, Dantriomir cuffed her arms in the chair.
"Do that again, and this time I won't be so polite," Dantriomir said.
"I've brought you here to ask you something," Dantriomir said. "Is it true that you were with Lord Rustilius?"
I gave him a suspicious smile, "I'm his daughter."
Dantriomir stepped back, with a worried expression slapped upon his face.
"This can't be! How are you the daughter of the one I looked up to? Lord Rustilius never told me of this!" Dantriomir shouted.
"Because he was killed," I said.
"Yes, I'm aware he was killed," Dantriomir said, "by Jaybles Droobledore."*CRACK*
The sound of Apparating filled the corridor of the long hallway wherever I was, blocking out Dantriomir's voice. Someone was running down the hallway, coming straight for us.
