The Halloween Party

"Woah, you look great!" Dayved said, looking at Scott.
"Where did you get that costume?"
"I made it myself," Scott said. Scott was dressed as a Dementor, and looked very creepy. Dayved shuffled around in his house elf costume, making sure it fit right. Ellie came down from the Girl Dormitories wearing a Pumpkin costume, and Dayved and Scott laughed.
"Oh my god, you look hilarious," Scott said.
The three travelled through the empty corridors as the storm outside threw rain at the window panes. Halfway down the Grand Staircase, Ellie started to complain that she'd have the worst costume there. The dungeons were very confusing...
Left, right, left, no, right...
The door to the Ghost Ballroom was shut, but music could be heard from behind the door. Scott pushed the door open with one finger, then strode in. Pumpkins with candles lit inside the glided across the ballroom back and forth, and streamers hung on the walls. There were many students there, all wearing costumes. Scott and Dayved ran into Sagittaria, and congratulated her on what had happened the previous day. Missandra stood at the front talking to everyone, thanking them for coming. Ellie left to get punch as soon as Zedmir walked in, trying to avoid him from seeing her costume. Kassie later followed behind annoyed by Ellie leaving her on the dance floor. The party grew bigger as the night went on, and the music turned up louder. Uagadou's and Mahoutokoro's even showed up to the party. Zedmir asked the girl that he met in the Great Hall to the dance floor, taking her hand to guide her towards it. Ellie saw and bursted into tears, and ran out crying. Scott was about to comfort her when Kassie stopped him, "I'll do it." She tugged on the door and left, travelling through the corridors alone, searching for Ellie. Halfway down the seventh floor corridor Kassie stopped and hear wimpers and sniffling.

Ellie's POV

Why did he never look at me? He never talked to me? I've always liked Zedmir, but he hasn't even noticed I'm around...
I peered out the window in the corridor, looking at the rain wash away at me. Huddled in a ball, I cried for what seemed for an hour, but it was only ten minutes. I heard footsteps coming down the corridor, so I wiped my tears away and continued to look out the window pane.
"Hey?" Kassie said, sitting down beside me cross-legged.
"Hey..." I mumbled then rubbed my eyes red from the crying.
"You know, if you come back to the party we can go hit the dance floor," Kassie said, smiling.
"Yeah, let's just stay here for a few more minutes."
"But I'd be hella rad!" Kassie said.
"Alright," I said.
Kassie held out her hand to help me up, "ready?" I grabbed her hand and stumbled to my feet. We strutted down the empty stone corridors, talking about how Zedmir doesn't know what he's missing. When we arrived back to the party, some people had left and it seemed to have died down. Natalie looked like she had too much ButterBeer and was holding a Uagadou boy, telling him to be quiet. Kassie and I hit the dance floor, until Blake came up and asked, "Want to dance El?"
I looked at Kassie and she nodded, so I took Blakes hand. As soon as we started dancing a slow song came on, and Blake and I slow danced.

Scott's POV

"Ah, so passionate," Scott said looking at Blake and Ellie.
"I know, they are perfect for each other!" Kassie said, smirking at Ellie.
Dayved strode over to me drenched in punch, and out of breath.
"What happened?" I said, worried.
"Uhm... I sort of asked out a Mahoutokoro girl, and um..."
Kassie bursted into laughter, and Scott did next.
"Well, I have CoMC homework, so I'm going to go back to the Common room," I said.
"I'll go too," Dayved said, trying to avoid the glares of the Mahoutokoro girls.
"Ellie, want to co-"
"Shush," Kassie said cupping her hand over my mouth, "they look so peaceful."
Blake and Ellie were holding each other, and Ellie's head was resting on his shoulder. I left the Ballroom with Dayved, who squished whenever he walked, and his hair dripped from the punch. When we arrived, I did my homework and headed up to the Dormitories to bed.
