~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The night I got that disgusting visit from Bert, it snowed like hell! Noah was around my house when the first snow flake dropped.

Curled up in a ball on my bed, Noah's arm draped around my waist as he leaves gentle kisses down my neck. He softly runs his thumb gently over my hand, with our fingers interlaced. His other hand twirls a strand of my hair around his finger as he soothing recites a poem. His voice running soft and husky.

"The girl with the dark hair, her beauty awakens
As she parts her pink lips, and places them on mine.
Her blue eyes flutter open, exposing the world to me. Her heart is full and open, the beautiful creature is awoken." He spoke softer and began whispering in my ear.

"I'll read one if you want, this one is from my favourite film...
so much depends
upon a red wheel barrow
glazed with rain
water, beside the white
chickens.
and so much, depends
upon a blue sky cut
open by the branches
of trees above
So much depends upon the transparent G-tube erupting
from the gut of the blue-lipped boy.
So much depends on this
observer of the universe. I know I totally just copyrighted that but, who cares." I sighed and rested back into his chest.

"I loved it. Your very good at reciting poems." He kissed the nape of my neck. "The beginning was by William Carlos Williams, am I correct."

"Indeed you are. Who was yours by?" I asked turning around in his arms to face him.

"Ugh..." He scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"Noah, was that poem about me?" I asked.

"Umm. It might have been." He whispered against my lips.

"I loved it." I smiled. I lent up and placed my lips on his.
When I pulled away I recited a line of his poem.
"As she parts her pink lips, and places them on mine." He erupted into a huge smile and pulled me closer to him again.

A few moments later and his smile faded. He looked distant. Like he was a separate person from himself.

"Are you okay?" I asked, concern etched across my features.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I promise." He faked smiled and waved me off.

"Noah, do you really think you can lie to me like that? What's wrong."

"Nothi-" he began. When he saw my face expression he probably got the hint.
"We need to tell someone Em. About Bert. There's something I haven't told you..." He trailed off adverting his gaze.

"What? What haven't you told me?" I demand. Control taking over my voice.

"Bert's not going to get expelled. I found out yesterday. His dad is the principals boss. He has gotten reported to the police and been suspended and isn't aloud to go to prom, but he's not going to get expelled. And, when I say he has been reported to the police, I mean only about me. We need to tell them about what he has done to you." He whispered so quietly I thought I imagined it. Is he insane? I hadn't realised that I asked that out loud.

"No Ems. We need to get this done. Please, please." He brought me closer to him but I repelled and jumped up.

"Noah! You know I can't do that, that means the school would have to know, the police would have to know. My PARENTS would have to know. He'll get me back and you someway. Anyway he can."

"I can't believe your defending him!" He kissed his teeth and shook his head dismissively.

"Defending him. You think I'm defending him." I stated, my words cold and heartless.
