"No! I'm sorry! No, no, no, no, no." I practically shouted across the lunch table.
"Oh come on please! Please? I'll love you forever and ever. I'll do your homework! I'll do your hair! Please!" Becky pleaded pulling my arm desperately.
"You know your going to love me forever away but no!" I told her smirking.
"But it's like! I can't even explain how much I need you."
"Beck's, there's no way! No! I'm very sorry."
"Pleeease!" She pulled and pulled on my arm until it nearly came clean off.
"Becky don't make me!" I begged her.
"But it's like the first party in months we have ever been invited to! Please. Darren's party is going to be epic!" She continued.
"Correction: your the one who has been invited not me!" I said bluntly.
"Babe! He said I could invite people if I wanted! You are invited. I'm inviting you!"
"I don't have anything to wear..." I tried as an excuse.
"Bullshit you have a walk in wardrobe full of clothes!" She grinned.
"Please don't make me go!"
"It will be fun. Let your hair down, have a good time. Relax and enjoy it." She told me.
"My hair is always down."
"You know what I mean." I hung my head. It looked like there was no way around it.
I huffed out a huge sigh. "Fine..." I whispered in agreement.
"Eeeee!" Becky squealed in excitement clapping her hands together at a supernatural speed. "One more thing..." She told me reluctantly.
"Ugh! What?" I questioned full with anger.
"I get to pick out your outfit and do your hair and make up!" She said demandingly.
"Oh God fine!" I couldn't be bothered to say no.
"But you have to buy me lunch!" I stated quickly."Cool! Girls party at Darren's house, Tomorrow! You up for it?" Becky questioned all of the girls at our table. Unsurprisingly they all agreed almost immediately.
"Great! Me and Emma are going into town Tomorrow, come along too!"
Everyone sort of nodded in agreement. They all started chatting about what they were going to wear and how they were so excited.
A throat was cleared behind me. I turned around to see Jack Johnson. He was part of the football team but wasn't actually that much of a prick. He never bullied me or teased me as much as the others did, and if he did;he would always say sorry in private after.
He stood tall behind me, towering over me. I smiled up at him.
"Hey Emma!" He greeted.
"Hey Jack, what's up?" I asked happily.
"Uh... I was just - I thought maybe. Oh god, um. Did you maybe? Uh your going to Darren's party right?" He asked stuttering.
"Yeah I am now, being forced by this lot." I gestured to everyone behind me.
"Cool, cool. Uh did you maybe? I don't know wanna go with me?" He asked. I could practically smell the fear.
"Oh jack! I'm really sorry. I didn't know you saw me that way, I kind of see you as a big brother to me." I friend zoned him. I saw his face fall a bit. God I felt awful.
