I rolled over when I woke up this morning, the pillow was wet under my head. Oh god. Everything came back, everything that happened yesterday really happened, didn't it? It wasn't a horrible dream. I glanced at my phone and saw I had gotten even more calls and text from him over the night.
I decided to get up for the day. I showered and then went down stairs and found my family all getting their coats on. I didn't think to change into clothes I just changed back into some short pyjamas shorts and a night time camisole.
"Where are you guys going?"
"I'm taking Jacob and Olive to a children's play thing they wanted to go to and your mothers going to her friends house with Summer." My father spoke.
"Oh, well someone could of told me." I spoke softly.
"Well sorry darling, I mean - have you been crying?" He asked me.
"Um no I was watching the notebook." I lied.
"Ahh okay, well we're leaving now. See you later Ems" my father kissed me on the forehead.
"Bye, bye mom." I smiled.
"Bye sweetheart! I hope you stay okay. Call us if you need to." My mother kissed me on my cheek. My mom is very different to me. She's beautiful in a strong way. She has a strong face frame and beautiful hair. She's everything I'm not. Stunning, funny, strong.
Then silence. They had all left leaving me alone. From upstairs I could hear my phone ringing. I groaned internally and ran up the stairs.
Noah.
Oh god I need to speak to him. My hand moved over my phone and I placed it to my ear.
"Hey..." I spoke so quietly I thought he didn't hear me.
"Emma. Please... Please talk to me." He spoke, it sounded like he had been crying.
"Noah, you really hurt me."
"... I know." He sighed. "I know. And I'll never forgive myself for that. I care about you so much Emma. Please let me see you and prove to you how sorry I am in person. Please let me see you. Can I come over?"
"Noah.. I." I heard someone knock on the door from downstairs. Why didn't they use the doorbell? "Noah I have to go. Someone's at the door." I sighed and threw my phone on the bed hanging up before he could protest.
Who ever it was at the door kept on knocking. "Alright, alright I'm coming." I ran down the stairs and opened the door. And I wish I never did. My heart stopped and my whole body began shaking.
"Hello Emma."
"B-bert..." I trembled. I tried closing the door on him but he pushed it passed before I could even try.
Run.
I thought to myself. I ran in the opposite direction which was the kitchen and tried to run out the back down but I didn't get there in time. He pulled me back by my hair and spat at me.
"You have ruined my life." He spoke harshly. I had tears running down my cheeks and I screamed out for help. He hit me across the face.
"Please Bert, my family is going to be back any minute." I lied.
"That's funny, because I just watched them leaving." He shouted at me.
He slapped me across the face again and hit me. Slamming me down on the floor. He straddled over my chest and slapped me again.
