Chapter 11 // streaming

"Yes I'd love to" I say happiness filling the air around us "that's great let's walk to my office it's a 10 minute walk from here" he exclaimed. As we walk there I start to get a little bit cold but I didn't let Wilbur know I didn't want to bother him.

As we arrive at his office I feel genuine happiness for the first time in a long time, being with Wilbur just calmed me and I felt safe around him. Sometimes I get butterflies and every time I look at him I get a heartwarming feeling.

As Wilbur sets up his stream I catch myself starting at him and admiring his concentration face, as he looks over at me I snap out of the trance I was in, "are you ready y/n" he questioned "uhh yeah, yeah I'm ready" I say trying not to make it obvious I was staring.

As he presses the go live button he plays his starting soon screen, for some reason I moved out of frame before the starting soon screen ended.

"Hello chat!" He beamed "we have a guest today" he continued and pulled my chair towards him making sure I was in frame. The chat went crazy as he introduced me.

Person 1: omg that's who Wilbur was playing minecraft with that one stream!

Person 2: y/n is a pretty name

Person 3: she's gorgeous

Person 4: omg we finally know what she looks like.

"Chat I have good news" he smiled "y/n is going to start streaming on her days off work" he continued on with the biggest smile. As he tells them my twitch username my phone goes of a million times with notifications saying people followed me i was so shocked.

"So I was thinking of a just chatting/ q and a stream today, so ask me and y/n anything you want to know" he smiled to twitch chat. They asking anything they want was a scary thought.

"What's your favourite Disney movie" Wilbur repeated the question from chat, "probably the lion king" I say after thinking for what felt like an hour.

After I said that the chat were all relating and saying they're the same, the chat was so nice it warmed my heart. I always saw social media as a bad thing and that most people on there was horrible, but I was so wrong Wilbur's audience was so sweet.

Me and Wilbur talked with chat for a little while and we saw a few funny questions that we couldn't answer but we saw them and laughed at them.

Wilbur and I were live for 2 hours and I've never been more comfortable talking to a bunch strangers before, that's when Wilbur asked me to entertain his stream while he went to the bathroom.

Chat asked me questions about when my first stream would be and what I had planned to stream, I told them it would be sometime with in the next week and had no clue what I was going to stream.

Chat gave me ideas on what to stream and I chose a few and wrote them down in the notes app on my phone, when Wilbur comes back someone in the chat asks how we met.

"Someone asked how we met would you like to tell them" I offered "yeah I can" he exclaimed. As he tells the chat that I'm Niki's sister they lose their shit, they had no clue Niki had a sister, I giggled at how they were all typing in caps.

As Wilbur ends the stream I say goodbye to chat and Wilbur puts out a tweet tagging me in it, the tweet reads:

@/yourusername just did a just chatting stream with my friend, she's going to start streaming soon you should follow her.

I read the tweet and smile to myself, I replied and said vouch with a smiley face. As Wilbur got the notification he let out a little laugh. After the stream me and Wilbur chilled in his office for a little bit, we watched a couple YouTube videos and walked home.

"I have work tomorrow" I sighed "what time do you finish" he questioned "I start at 2pm and finish at 6pm, why do you ask?" I wondered "just curious that's all" he reassured me.

I was exhausted from all the social interaction that I'd had through out the day, I wasn't used to it, before I met Wilbur I just stayed in my house all day. I guess none of this would've been possible without Wilbur's help.

As we reached my house Wilbur gave me a hug and told me to get some rest for work tomorrow, I agreed and said my goodbyes to him. I ran up the stairs and got into the shower, after I did some skincare and headed to bed.

Before I knew it I was asleep, I fell asleep so easy there was no tossing and turning for an hour before I fell asleep I just wished it was always this easy, despite falling asleep fast I was still so scared to sleep because of the nightmares.

I woke up the next morning to a knock on my front door...
