Chapter 4

I woke up the next morning more earlier than I expected. My grams wasn't up yet, so I thought I could run to the store and get something to make for breakfast.

I went back to my room to get ready and leave.
"What am I going to wear?" I asked myself. Finally after ten minutes I decided to wear some ripped jeans and a huge black hoodie.
It was really big on me. Then I put my hair in a messy bun and put on my favorite rings.

I haven't gotten my driver's license yet but I had a lot of practice so no one will even notice.
I grabbed the car keys through on my sneakers and left. As I was walking to the car I saw a little rabbit that was eating some grass, it was black with some brown spots and long ears with a light pink inside it.

When I got to the store there was a no parking at all. But then I found a spot next to a big old truck, it was a blue color but it seemed to be fading away. When I got in the store I felt the rush of cold air. Then went strait to get some eggs,juice,bacon, and obviously some fruit. As I picked up some fruit punch my phone buzzed in my hoodie, I picked it up and saw that it was grams she was asking where I was.

   I texted back and told her I was getting things for breakfast. While I was waiting for her reply when suddenly I collided with a figure and drop my phone.

   "I'm so sorry miss" the voice said I could tell it was a male not a grown man but younger.
  "Oh no it's ok really I wasn't lo-" I said bending down to pick up my phone. I looked up at him, he had darker skin with short curled-ish hair and brown eyes. He looked familiar, like I have seen him before. He was holding some juice too.

  I stood up and we both looked at each other.

"I'm Pope" he introduced himself. I knew I knew him, it was Pope, one of my best friends.
  "Wait Pope? Pope Hayward?" I had to make sure my hunch was right.
  "Um yah? Do-do I know you?" He asked with a confused expression.
"Oh sorry I'm Lily Wood" I said with high hopes he would remember me. But then at that moment the confusion on his face quickly changed into a dumbfounded excited expression.

"L- Lily?! I-I can't believe it's you!" He hugged me and I hugged him back.
  "JJ didn't tell you that I was back? I saw him yesterday?" I was confused because he would definitely tell something that big and exciting to him.
"We haven't seen JJ for like two days" he said rubbing the back of his neck.
  "Oh" I looked down worried.

   Was JJ ok? Why would he stay away from them for so long? But then again I was gone for six years.

"Did you try to call him or text him?" I looked back up to Pope.
  "Oh loads of times he won't answer his phone" he said with frustration and throwing his hands up
"That's weird" I said. We started walking back to pay for the things we had. We kept on talking and we got to catch up with each other and I found out that the Cameron's were still the annoying Kooks of the obx.

"You know Rafe used to like you in the 4th grade right!" Pope said while we were on the topic of the Cameron's.
"What! No way! Your funny Pope!" I hit his shoulder and laughed at the joke.
"It's not a joke he really liked you when we were kids. Then you-" He stopped short of his sentence and I had a feeling of what he was going to say.
"Then I left" I pulled on a fake smile that he could see it was fake and then looked down.

After we payed for everything we walked back to the car.
"Wait is this your truck?" I asked pointing at the big truck that I had parked next to.
"Well my dads truck. And that's your grams" he pointed at grams's car.
"How'd you know?"
"Well I've seen you grams stop by my dads seafood store and so I've seen her car a lot" he laughed and so did I.
"Well grams is probably hungry so I better be going and tell the others I said hi" I smiled and got in the car.

"Will do, see ya Lily" he started his truck and I started the car. While I was driving home my phone buzzed, I looked at it and it was JJ saying, 'Wanna meet up at Kie's parent's restaurant later?' I replied saying 'yes what time?'
'Around 6' he replied back.

I was going to see Kiara and John B. Finally we would be able to reunite after all these years of being apart.
