Shoota always had a thing for Lovely. It was always Lovely this Lovely that. He loved that girl before they even started dating. It took him a while to say it out loud but we all knew it. And she loved him. More importantly she loved the way he loved her. They weren't the perfect pair but they had what a-lot of the "perfect couples" don't have. That's trust.
Shoota trusted Lovely with his life and she trusted him with hers. He would never intentionally hurt her. Scare her maybe but never, never put his hands on her. He loved her too much. He knew if he did it it would hurt him too.
They've always had a spark, since they were friends sitting at the middle school lunch tables. It didn't always start out that way though. They used to hate each other. That's how a lot of the best relationships or friendships start. Enemies to Lovers.
The hatred they had towards each other in elementary school brought them closer through out their lives. It's ironic. The same people that hated each other's guts now have two kids and live together.
No matter if it were good days or bad Shoota never let Lovely go to sleep angry. He'll do anything to make her smile or laugh before laying her head on her pillow at night. He did all this while not even being in a relationship with her. They weren't ready for one. They knew the stress and pressure in relationships. They were afraid to fuck up. Shoota knew he was hers and she was his. It just felt right to them.
The Truth is Shoota wanted Lovely in his life no matter how it was meant to be. Whether they were enemies, lovers, or strictly bestfriends forever. She was his first drug.
When Shoota first got hip to the drug life Lovely wasn't all for it. They weren't together at the time but they were pretty close. This was their prime. This is when they got into the most fights and arguments. Endless nights, ignored phone calls, and subliminal messages. They were so childish together but they loved it.
Shoota was always the first to crack. He'd show up to her house with something every time they argued. Whether it was flowers, chocolate, or a simple milkshake from the dairy joint down the street they went to as kids. And Lovely always accepted it. It was hard for her not too. If we're speaking realistically, Lovely had Shoota wrapped around her finger. But it didn't bother him. He would've been dropped her if she was anyone else. But she was Lovely Alana Johnson. And that name held weight in his heart.
