The news of the actress Nancy causing chaos was spread like wildfire.
Many people belittled her for stooping so low just to attract CEO Manoban's attention.
"Aiya... this shameless actress , I would have never thought that she was like this."
"I used to look up to her. But now... not anymore. Bye!"
"Shameless ... wanting to use a pity act just to attract attention!"
"Poor Nancy... injured and ignored. hahaha"
Many people started leaving hateful comments online while some started questioning her overall character.
Because of this, Nancy's management made her lay low and avoid going out for a while. Of course, that made her relieved. After all, her face was currently very swollen. She didn't want anyone to her like that.
The news continued spreading for more than a week until it slowly dwindled down. At this point, a new interest appeared online and that was Jennie Kim.
People were very curious about the woman, who owned CEO Manoban's heart. So, Jennie's name instantly made it to the top of the most searched topics for days.
While that was happening, Jennie and Lisa were also very busy with their own companies.
After a month, Jennie, together with Wang Mino, launched the new Wang Empire - a multinational technology company which developed and sold computer hardware, software and any related electronics.
Because of this, the duo's name flooded every business newspapers and tv stations. Jennie's name rose to prominence, as many people came to know her as Lisa's fiance.
« Jenjen, you have an interview with C Women magazine tomorrow, then we have some set of pictorials with Mino for the company's portfolio. » Rosé informed Jennie, who was busy reading some documents in front of her.
"Hmmm..." she nodded without saying anything. "Have you heard anything from Uncle and Grandfather? Did they call you about RubeyJane Corp?" she asked. Jennie and her grandfather agreed to have Wang Huo manage RubyJane Corp overseas. Aside from this, Wang Huo was also in charge of the overall production of their electronics, and hardware products that will be built in Seoul.
This arrangement was meticulously planned by Jennie. She had chosen her uncle to be in charge of their operations overseas mainly because he was an expert in security. She wanted to be thorough, and made every gadget that they were developing secure.
Meanwhile, Wang Mino would be managing day to day operations of the company.
"Yes, Master Wang said that all of our facilities abroad are up and running. He has also been talking to some companies, who want to order some electronics that Wang Empire will make specifically for them. The electronics had already been approved earlier this year, and we are currently working on manufacturing a thousand of these type of gadgets."
"Good. Any other interviews?"
"Yes... In two weeks, we will have an interview with Women in Business. That's one of the top international business magazines for women. They want you to be the cover of their yearly release that will be released in two months."
"Hmmm... got it. Oh... um... can you call Mino for me? Tell him, I will be waiting for him in the conference room in five minutes." Jennie said, as she started to gather her files and laptop, walking to the conference room.
The building that Lisa had chosen was actually as tall as the Manoban Conglomerate's building. Both Jennie and Wang Mino's offices were located on the top floor of the building. While the conference room was located just a floor below their offices. Jennie chose to use the stairs and easily made her way into the conference room to wait for her cousin.
"Have you called for me?" Wang Mino asked, as he walked into the conference room, with his signature smile.
"Check this out," she answered while giving him a folder. In response, her cousin took the folder and scanned through it.
After a few seconds, Wang Mino immediately widened his eyes, his mouth agape. "The president of the M Country want us to develop a headset for their military?"
"Invited. They want us to create a proposal and design for a headset," she answered before looking at her cousin intently. "I want to take this project myself."
"Wow... that's good... do you need my help? Or is there anything I can do to help you?" he asked. Wang Mino knew that Jennie was fully capable of doing this. He fully trusted his cousin's abilities.
"Yes... you can help me with the company. Your current job will be doubled if not tripled."
"No problem..." Wang Mino's words were interrupted by a sudden beep from his pocket. "Alarm. I have a meeting in 2 minutes. Let's talk again later." he explained. He was a busy man after all.
Jennie stifled a laugh, as she gestured for her cousin to go. However, before Wang Mino could close the door, he turned his head to look at Jennie. "By the way, I saw your husband with a dark face on the way to your office. Did you forget your lunch date with him? He seemed not to ..."
Before Wang Mino could even finish his words, Jennie had already dashed out of the room, rushing to her office. Seeing his cousin gone, Wang Mino just shook his head and smiled, "Love birds."
...
Jennie ran as fast as she could towards her office. Wang Mino was right. She had actually forgotten to meet Lisa. She looked at her wristwatch and cursed when she realized that it was almost two in the afternoon. That's two hours past lunchtime.
She abruptly opened the door and said, "Let me explain. I..." Jennie was unable to utter the rest of her words. She widened her eyes, too shocked to say anything.
She looked at the different dishes neatly arranged on her table and stared at Lisa, her eyes turning gentle, as the realization hit her.
"You were so busy with work that you have even forgotten to eat your lunch. Tell me, Mrs. Manoban... what am I going to do with you?"
