Y/N POV
Ive become pretty good friends with Teresa. Thanks to Gally, he and the builders built us our own room, so we have privacy.
"So you're saying you're the trigger?" I asked her, sitting on my bed.
"Yea..I mean the box hasn't gone down since I've been up, and well that's all I can remember being told before I came up here." Teresa said quietly.
"I'm confused..." I mumbled.
"Me too." She said.
There was rustling outside and then our door opened to reveal a panting Thomas and Minho.
"Y-N-" Minho started but thomas cut him off.
"Come quick." Thomas said. I nodded, said a quick goodbye to Teresa and ran out with them.
"What is all the fuss about?" I asked. But as soon as I looked around I saw it. It was turning night time, and the doors weren't closing. In fact, the rest of them were opening.
"Guys! Why is this happening?" I asked panicking. Everyone was in danger.
Newt came running over.
"We need to strategize. NOW." He said. His eyes darted from me, to Thomas to Minho.
I bit my lower lip and placed my hands on my hips, thinking.
"Maybe this is what Teresa meant by being the trigger..." I muttered.
"Ok Y/N now is not the time to be looking attractive and making your boyfriend drool." Minho rolled his eyes and nodded towards Newt who was obviously not trying to look at me.
A faint blush tinted my cheeks and I shook my head.
"Guys! I think this is what Teresa meant when she said she was the trigger. Now, I want Minho to get everyone in the council hall. Now. Thomas, go get as many weapons as you can. Newt, you go get Alby and do whatever you can to plan a battle thing. I will go get Teresa and meet you at council hall in ten. GO!" I said and ran towards the homestead.
"Teresa! Teresa!" I gasped as i ran through the door.
"What?" She stood up suddenly.
"The doors! There not closing! No time! Come on! You're the trigger! This is what you meant! LETS GO!" I said really fast. Teresa and I ran out into the glade, but we were to late. The monsters already arrived. a scream of terror filler the air, and I turned my head watching someone being dragged away.
It was Newt.
"TERESA HELP ME ITS NEWT! IT'S TAKING NEWT!" I screamed. Tears started to fall and I ran out. I ran into Thomas and he handed me a knife.
"Come on Y/N lets save your boyfriend." Thomas said. Teresa ran to the council hall to grab Minho, Chris, Gally and Alby.
Thomas and I ran after the griever and Newt.
"HURRY! ITS ALMOST AT THE EAST DOOR!"
As soon as we approached the griever Newt started screaming.
"Y/N! THOMAS! GO BACK! LEAVE ME. I DONT WANT YOU HURT!" I shook my head and pounced on the griever, stabbing the knife into its back. It squealed, before it's 'tenticle' flung up and grabbed me by the torso.
"Y/N! NEWT!" Thomas screamed. Before he could save us, the griever dragged us into the depths of the maze.
