Y/N POV

FRRRRRTTTT. FRRTTTTTTT.

Wha-what's going on?

I felt myself start to waken, my eyes peeling themselves open. A wild breeze slapped me across the face as I attempted to find my bearings, making a shiver crawl its way down my spine. Looking around my vision lacked focus, objects attempting to form back to solidified versions of myself, but they remained in pairs, dancing together like an unformulated puzzle. I closed my eyes, rubbing them, and then opened them once again before squinting due to the lack of light that surrounded me. Where the fuck am I?

I took a shaky breath, my lungs feeling as if they'd collapse at any moment. That was when I noticed I was in some sort of metal cage, the four walls chained around me in cubic form. My body shook along with the crate as it slowly accelerated upwards, like some sort of unconventional elevator.

"What the Hell?" I whispered while attempting to stand, but grogginess consumed me, and I fell backward into wooden crates and bins of supplies behind me. I couldn't get over the sounds that rang through my ears. The rattling, the sound of gears clicking and rotating as they pushed the metal crate upwards, a loud vibration radiating through each piece of metal that enclosed me. The alarm, a rhythmic beat that repeated itself over and over. Each second that passed I kept ascending higher and higher, and as I peered down through the crevasses of the chain-linked metal, the bottom seemed to be a dark, endless pit, and I felt my stomach sink as fear began to ingest the original grogginess I felt, taking over.

The cage began to pick up speed, the alarm pattern expediting. I shifted my vision upwards, and suddenly the black void that surrounded me started to paint a picture above, and I noticed I was heading closer and closer to the end of the tunnel; a ceiling taking shape. I start panicking, fearing that the box was going to crash into the ceiling. Scrambling to a corner of the box, I tucked my knees to my chest, letting my head rest between my legs and allowing my arms to wrap themselves around my neck. I couldn't help but shake in terror.

Although I desperately feared the situation I was currently facing, and the question of where am I, I suddenly felt droplets of water sink into my knees as I cried, a burning itch scratching at my brain: Who am I?

The box picked up speed, but within seconds and a loud screeching noise echoed through the tunnel as the gears began to stop. The cage came to a halt abruptly, and before I could catch myself my body flew to the opposite side, into more crates and other junk. I felt my temple ram into the corner of a wooden box.

"What's going on?" There was scattered chatter coming from above, the hustling of multiple voices and people sounding extremely curious, yet hesitant.

The unexpected onset of various voices left me cautious yet relieved, but I quickly hid behind a barrel in fear for what was next to come.

"It hasn't even been a month! The other greenie just got here! Why the hell is the box up?" I heard frustration come from one.

"Help me open it you shank-"

Footsteps approached the top of the cage as the metal doors slid open mechanically. Light flooded the small compartment which blinded me slightly, so I closed my eyes before losing my vision once again. I felt the cage shake as someone jumped in, my heart beginning to race.

"Uh-"

I looked up slowly, squinting before my eyes adjusted to the brightness. Immediately my E/C eyes connected with a pair of brown ones, reminiscent of a doe. A mop of blonde hair sat upon the boy's head, and his face was contorted into a look of curiosity. He was quite thin and scrawny, but also tall, as he still towered over me as he crouched down to meet my gaze.
