Y/N POV

I heared the snapping of twigs and looked up to see a blonde headed boy run away.

Newt.

"Shuck shuck shuck shuck!" I pushed myself  up off Thomas and ran to the homestead. I figure that Newt was gonna be there.

"Y/N?" Thomas yelled behind me. I ignored him and continued running.

"Newt?" I called. I turned to where the hammocks are and sure enough, in the back corner, I saw Newt.

And Hunter.

Kissing.

Newt had his hands in her hair, not pulling away.

"N-Newt?" My lip trembled. I couldn't help it. I let the tears fall.

His head snapped around to look at me. Anger in his eyes. Jealousy.

"What?" He asked as if it wasnt obvious.

"Y-your-r chea-t-ting." I hiccuped.

I saw his eyes soften a little, but then they went back to being hard.

"Oh? So we're you, you were cheating on me with Thomas. Hunter was right. You were cheating. You're such a slinthead. How could you?" He said. A growl clear in his voice.

"W-what?" I snapped my eyes to Hunter and noticed her smirking.

"I didnt cheat! Is this about me and Thomas in the forest? I went to go talk to him about HUNTER! Shes the one that caused this!" I pulled off the bandage on my arm, revealing the deep cut.

"She did this! She threatened me to stay away from you! I had to tell someone so I told Thomas! He was going to go tell Alby about Hunter, but I didn't want him to, so I grabbed his arm, and I pulled him causing him to trip on a rock. Scince I was holding his arm I fell on top of him. It was pretty funny because I winded him, so we were laughing." I explained. "But you're such a dick you decided to go an cheat on me, when you didn't even know the whole story."

"Please Newt Please." I cried. (A/N omg see what i did there 😭)

He didnt respond. He just looked down at the ground. Hunter looked furious.

"Your just going to believe her? I would NEVER do that!" She said.

"Your right. I should've believed you when you said she was cheating on me in the deadheads- because I saw it with my own eyes." He whispered. His eyes trailed up and met mine. "We're through Y/N. You're lying."

My heart shattered.

"Newt! You can't do this! Im not lying! She is! You've known me longer than her, you know what she's done to me." I whispered.

Hunters smirk returned, and she grabbed the back of Newts head; pulling his face towards hers. They kissed.

I covered my mouth with my hand and my tears fell down. Hard.

How could he do this?

How could Hunter do this? What did I ever do to her? She literally came up into the maze to take my boyfriend.

I turned around and ran. I ran and ran and ran.

"Y/N!!!" I heard Thomas scream. I ran to the map room, quickly grabbing a back pack. Food, water and a knife were already inside. I quickly snapped it on, and ran out.

"Y/N! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" Thomas screamed once again.

I ignored him again.

I felt sweat drip down my forhead, but I didn't care. I felt my legs burn, but I didn't care.

My body raced with adrenaline. I heared the familiar clicking noise of the maze doors.

Good.

I sprinted. The doors closed together each second, and luckily I made it through.

"Y/N NO!" Thomas screamed, but it was to late.

Id rather be in here with the grievers than with a back stabbing ex boyfriend.
