Y/N POV

》》》status: edited, 03-22-21《《《

"GREENIE!?" Thomas screamed at me while trying to pry Minho off of him. The two were still struggling for dominance, Minho scratching at Thomas's porcelain face.

"Do you even know my name!?" I shouted annoyed, I really hated being called greenie. But now was not the time.

"Of course I do- you're Y/N. Now Please-" he groaned, pushing and shoving at Minho's body, "For the love of God, a little damn help would be nice."

Minho's screams of anger bellowed through the maze, his arms clawing and pushing against Thomas's body. I looked at Minho's back and noticed blood pooling through the torn fabric of his shirt. I wasn't quite sure how to engage myself between the two boys, so I chose the next best thing. Looking around in a panic, I frantically grabbed a convenient rock, smashing Minho straight on his temple. The olive-skinned boy collapsed onto the cold stone ground, lying peacefully against the concrete.

"Thanks." Thomas gasped as he sat up, catching his breath. His hand was to his chest and he began to coughing intensely. His eyebrows were furrowed in frustration as he replayed the scene over.

"I-is he dead?" I asked, suddenly nervous. I bent down and checked Minho's pulse. His heart was beating steadily, I had just knocked him out.

"We need to put him somewhere before dark," Thomas said, staring at the sky. He then began to lift Minho's limp body. I quickly ran by his side to help lift the other side of Minho's torso.

"Uh, let's put him behind the ivy.." I suggested quickly and we dragged Minho behind the roots and leaves, allowing the wall and plants to act as a barrier between him and the outside world.

Thomas wrapped Minho's chest in a string of vines, tying him against the wall. Just as we finished, that's when I heard a familiar, strange noise.  A mechanical clicking sound: the sound I had heard just the night before as Newt was explaining the maze. My eyes began to widen as I peered at Thomas, who then held his finger to his lips. He moved slowly, delicately wrapping his fingers around my wrist, maintaining a tight yet gentle grip. He pulled me along a wall with him, and when I turned my back looking to my left, there was a strange hunched-over shadow placed against the damp wall.

"Thomas!" I whisper-yelled, terror running through my veins, "SOMETHING IS COMING."

Panic began to course through my body, my heart picking up speed and racing tremendously fast.

Thomas held onto me tighter, "Run."

My legs scrambled to keep up with Thomas's pace, and it was mostly him dragging me against the wall with him. We kept light footsteps, attempting to be as quiet as possible. The high-pitched squealing of the figure became fainter, and I assumed the thing left, heading in an opposite direction.

"What the fuck was that?" I panted, prying myself from Thomas's grip.

"That was a greiver." Thomas swallowed hard, looking at me nervously. "Y/N we gotta go. We're not safe here."

"No shit sherlock! Where else are we going to go? I'm assuming this place doesn't have a shelter inside of it, and frankly, I'm just going to assume we are about to die and-"I followed Thomas's gaze as his attention lingered elsewhere, cutting my rambling short.

"What is it-"

Thomas's eyes widened as he appeared above me and I made myself lookup. The beastly creature was biomichanical. Yellow tinted saliva dripped from its undistinguished crevasses. Its slimy green skin was perched up among a set of sharp mechanical legs that resembled a distant cousin of a spider, and I couldn't help but stare at the stinger that was propelling outside of its body.
