Y/N POV
I did NOT feel bad. Not one bit.
Hunter deserved to get banished.
I turned away from everyone and ran to the pit to talk to Newt.
"Y/N?" His voice was soft and quiet.
"Hey." I said and sat down cross legged infront of the gate-door.
"Y-you shouldn't have dont that. I deserved to be banished. Im a terrible boyf- ex boyfriend..." he said.
"About that..I'm sorry about falling on Thomas..it did look like I was cheating..but I swear I wasn't." I looked at him sincerely.
"I know. I was stupid and just felt..betrayed. I was a idiot and wanted you to feel as betrayed and hurt as I did. God I'm so messed up." He put his head in his hands. "But- you were also kissing in the forest after.."
"Newt stop ok? That's the past. Hunter was jacked. You did hurt me, but I can forgive and forget. You need to as well. I understand why you did it. I'm just glad they didn't banish you. I wouldn't know what to do with my life- and that kiss didn't mean anything. Just fake emotions." I cracked a small smile. He looked up and I saw a small one appear to.
"Thank you." He said.
We sat there in for a while untill, not talking. Just listening to the sounds of talking. The sky grew darker, and the sound maze changing ringed through the glade.
"I really miss you Y/N.." He whispered.
"I miss you too." I replied started playing with my shoe lace.
"Everything with Hunter felt..wrong. I feel disgusted that I ever kissed her." Newt sighed.
I heard someone's foot steps comming.
"Hey Y/N." It was Thomas. "Can we talk? Like somewhere more...private?"
"Yea sure. I'll just be a second Newt." He nooded and I stood up. We walked to the homestead.
"I uh..just wanted to say that..we should just forget the..almost kiss..I guess I could call it that." He scratched the back of his neck. "Since it doesn't mean anything to you.."
"Yea...uh..sorry." I looked down at my shoes.
"Well I guess I'll catch you later..Gally and I are gonna wrestle. See ya." He shuffled off. I let out a puff of air I didn't even know I was holding.
I walked back to the pit to go talk to Newt.
"Hey I'm back." I said sitting down again.
"Y/N..." His voice cracked.
"Yes?"
"Do you think you could reconsider being my girlfriend?" His beautiful eyes met mine.
