CHAPTER 4

"I'm sure," you confirmed and turned to face the Gang.

"So you might have some questions-" you started carefully.

"Yes! Like who are you?!" Snotlout asked, taking a threatening step towards you. Glacier turned her tail around you, growling at Snotlout.

"Well-" Suddenly, Toothless bounced on you and started licking your face, cutting you off.

"Y/n! I haven't seen you in such a long time! I didn't recognize you at first! How have you been?" he asked, starting to bounce around you excitedly.

"Hi, Toothless," you laughed. "Glad to see you too, it's been a while."

"I- I'm so sorry about him," Hiccup said, stepping forward and pulling Toothless back. "You seem to know him though but how?" Toothless smacked him in the back of the head as if asking: are-you-an-idiot?

You chuckled. "Good aim, Toothless. How many times have you practiced that?"

"Is that a Night Fury?" Fishlegs asked, coming closer.

"Uh, yeah," you shrugged, a bit surprised no one brought it up before.

"Does she have a name?" Fishlegs asked, coming closer to inspect Glacier, who growled at him and backed off.

You quickly ran in between them before anything could happen. "Sorry. Glacier's not used to people," you excused, patting her neck.

"Glacier?!" Hiccup freaked out. "Y/n, is that really you?!" You nodded awkwardly. "What? How? When? Why? I have so many questions-"

"Aren't you dead?" Tuffnut asked bluntly.

"Yes, but no," you said, confusion lacing your face.

"That makes no sense. Even for me," Tuffnut deadpanned.

"I don't know," Ruffnut shrugged. "I think it would be fun to be dead without actually being dead."

"Hahaha, yeah," you chuckled awkwardly, backing up against Glacier because you got a bit uncomfortable with all the human attention.

"Are you okay?" Astrid asked, stepping forth a bit.

"Yeah, well, I haven't talked to another human since Alvin, which makes about two or three years of only talking to dragons, so...," you trailed off.

"So it was you who Alvin mentioned," Hiccup remarked. "How about you come to the clubhouse and tell us the whole story?"

"That would be great," you nodded gratefully and got onto Glacier's back.

"You'll be okay," she said comfortingly.

"I know, Glacier. I'm just really nervous," you sighed.

"I understand. But I'll be there with you every step on the way."

"Thank you," you hugged her. "You're the best."
