------- A few minutes before
"NO, I WILL BE THERE in a few hours," I spoke to Jordan that was on the phone with me.
"Okay, bye," I then hung up and continued finishing the paperwork that I received from Tristen a few minutes ago. But I had a hard time focusing on these papers because of Enzo.
Once he left my office, I began thinking about what I said to him. Yes, I might have been a little bit harsh but he needs to know the truth and understand it.
He doesn't deserve to be heartbroken.
A few minutes passed by and I still couldn't focus on these papers so I decided to go and look for Bella. She should have been back by now.
I walked out of my office and to the main hall where I looked for her but didn't see her. I furrowed my brows and went to the kid's playroom because she often visits them.
When I got there I didn't see her anywhere so I began walking around. On my walk I found Enzo. "Did you see Gianna?" he asked monotonously. "No, did you see Bella?" he shook his head.
I furrowed my brows. Where can she be? I told her to stay near my office.
Enzo and I got startled when we hear a gunshot go off. We looked at each other and immediately ran towards that gunshot.
Then another gunshot was heard and I wasn't far from where we were standing.
It came from one of the rooms here. I slammed the door open to the darkroom and what I saw sent a cold gush of air down my spine.
Gianna is on the floor bleeding out and Isabella is a few feet away from her, on the ground a gun. "Gianna," Enzo ran up to her, to stop the bleeding. I turned my gaze back to my girl that was shaking and looking at Gianna's body.
I slowly approached her and cupped her face once I crouched down to her. I turned her face and looked at her. Her face had a few blood splashes on it and her eyes were red from all the tears that she shed.
"Are you okay? Bella?" she didn't respond she just stared at me. She then turned her head back to Gianna.
"I killed her," she mumbled. I turned my head and looked at Gianna's lifeless body. Her chest wasn't moving up and down and Enzo was trying to wake her up.
"I killed somebody," Bella repeated and I grabbed her shoulders to pull her against my chest.
"I got scared and that's when I shot. I didn't mean to kill her, Axel. She had a knife and-" she sobbed onto my chest as I tried to calm her down.
