I WOKE UP the next morning to see that Axel's side of the bed was empty. Looking closely, I noticed a letter on the pillow. I grabbed it and started reading it.

Had to leave because they needed me at the Warehouse. I will be back tonight.
Love you
- Axel

A smile slowly crept onto my lips which only grew wider when I saw a little red rose on the nightstand with another note.

Be ready tonight. I'm going to take you out on a date.
- Axel

Chuckling to myself, I slumped my head back into my pillow, hiding my face in my hands.

God, I love this man so much.

I stood up and looked at the clock and saw it was 9 am. I don't have work today so that means I'm free for the whole day.

Making my way downstairs, I heard noises coming from the kitchen. I walked in and saw Aaliyah making breakfast.

"Morning," I beamed and walked up to her. She turned around and gave me a small smile "Hi, good morning," she greeted.

Grabbing plates out of the cabin, I turned towards Aaliyah and noticed she was very quiet.

"Everything okay?" I asked and placed the plates next to her so she could place the eggs on there.

"Mhm," she hummed. I furrowed my brows and tugged my lips up in a pout.

Turning back around to the kitchen island, I grabbed two Avocados and the bread and made my way towards the toaster. While making the bread, I occasionally turned my head to Aaliyah to see if she was okay.

She's never this calm in the morning.

Once the toast was ready and I put on the avocado slices, I placed them down on the dining table. Aaliyah just finished our scrambled eggs and placed them down on the table too. Walking back to the kitchen, I grabbed two glasses and the orange juice from the fridge and walked back to the table where Aaliyah already was sitting and waiting for me.

I sat down next to her and then started digging in.

More so often, I would peek to the side to look at her but she still had a normal face on.

What the hell is going on?

Deciding I had enough of this, I turned my head to her and dropped my fork and knife down to confront her.

"What is going on? You are acting weird," I said and waited for her to respond. But she continued eating.

Looking up, she shrugged her shoulders. "It's nothing. I just had a bad night," she answered and then continued by taking a sip of her orange juice.
