-------I KNOCKED ON THE DOOR of Tristen's room and waited for him to say I should come in. ''Come in,'' I heard a female voice say which made me furrow my brows because I don't recognize that voice. I slowly opened the door and peeked my head into the room to see who was there.
I saw Tristen sitting on the bed while his back was resting on the headboard and next to him was Damon. Smiling, I entered the room and that's when I saw a woman next to Tristen's bed.
''Hey,'' I closed the door and stepped closer to them. ''Hey, B,'' Tristen smiled which made me happy. And that's what I needed in these dreary days.
Damon looked up with widened eyes. When he saw me, he gasped. ''Bella,'' he jumped up and came running towards me. Before he fell, I picked him up and hugged him. ''Hey, buddy. How are you?'' I giggled as poked his nose which made him giggle too.
''I'm good. I missed you,'' I pouted as he said that. ''I missed you too,''
I looked up and saw that the woman next to Tristen was looking at me while smiling. ''Hi, I'm Isabella,'' I stepped closer and wanted to shake her hand but she stood up and grabbed my hand, pulling me into a hug.
''Thank you. You saved my family,'' she whispered into my ear. I was a little bit taken back when she hugged me but eventually gave in and hugged her back. ''You don't have to thank me,'' I said to her.
She pulled away and then looked at me. ''I'm Valeria,'' she introduced herself with a small smile on her face. ''Nice to meet you, Valeria,''
Valeria has long black hair that was tight in a ponytail and very beautiful blue eyes. I gave a smile before turning towards Tristen. Valeria took Damon out of my arms and I grabbed the clipboard to see what the nurses wrote down.
Everything looked good and the nurse even wrote down how his injuries healed through the days. ''B, I never said thank you to you,'' Tristen said, which made me look up at him and smile. Valeria moved back to her seat with Damon in her lap.
''Tristen, you don't have to say thank you for saving your life. I think every normal human being would do that,'' I assured him but he shook his head. ''No, I have to because I know what you went through before the surgery,'' I gulped and my smile dropped immediately.
He noticed my discomfort and cleared his throat. ''I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to make sad,'' I softly waved him off. ''Don't worry about it,'' I gave him a fake smile and continued checking his results.
''So, everything looks good. Are you having any issues?'' I asked him and he shook his head in response. ''Does your wound hurt?''
''Sometimes, when I move too much,'' he answered. ''But it's healing,'' I nodded as I wrote that down.
