I JUST GOT READY for the dinner which I don't want to attend. Of course, I want to see my family especially my little brother Alessio who is coming home from the Boarding School for a few days.
I know this night will end up with being either drunk or drunk and disappointed.
Since I moved to Italy, my family and I got closer to each other. Particularly, me and my Uncle Alessandro. He's little the best Uncle you could ask for. This man can bright up your day in seconds.
"Miss De Luca are you ready?" my driver Giuseppe asked me while holding the car door open for me.
"Yes, thank you, Giuseppe. And Giuseppe, stop calling me Miss De Luca. Just call me Bella," I smiled at him and then got into the car once I closed my umbrella. It was currently raining like the last few days.
He got into the car and started driving towards my Uncle's house. I looked out of the window and saw the whole city in front of me.
The rain made it look ten times better. The colorful lights reflected on the rain which made the rain look like Perles falling down the sky.
Sicily is so different from New York. Not just the people are different but also the feeling. The feeling of safeness and... home.
Moving to Italy was the best decision and I wouldn't change that for anything.
''We are here, Mi- Bella,''Giuseppe announced. I nodded and exited the car. I lifted my bag up to my head to keep my hair safe and ran towards the door.
I knocked on the door once I got there. I smiled when I saw my Aunt Juliet standing in front of me. ''Bella, how are you doing?'' she asked and pulled me into a hug.
''Hi, Juliet. I'm fine and you?'' I said into the hug. She pulled away and dragged me inside. ''I'm fine too. Everyone is waiting for you,'' she excitedly said.
Not everyone.
I followed her into the living room where I already heard many voices. We got there and I saw my parents and Uncle Alessandro talking to each other while Enzo and Alessio were talking and watching TV.
''Hey, Bella is here,'' Juliet announced and all their head turned to me while I lifted my hands up and said ''Surprise,''
''Bella,'' Alessio stood up and walked towards me. He came and hugged me tightly. ''Damn, what happened to you? You are taller than me,'' I chuckled.
