DARKNESS was surrounding me and I couldn't see anything as I was getting dragged somewhere. I heard people talk but in a different language.
It's been a few minutes since I got dragged out of the car. I woke up in the trunk but pretended to be still uncousious when the car stopped and they got me out of it.
The dragging continued until they stopped and opened a door that made weird noises. They took a few steps inside and pushed me inside harshly.
I hit the cold floor that felt wet underneath my palms. The only light that shone through the room was the light from the hallway but once the door closed the light vanished and it was completely dark.
I tried to orientate myself by touching the floor and crawling towards the corner to hide. As I brought my legs closer to my body, I heard weird noises coming from the other side of the room. I winced when I saw a shadow back there and it was moving. "I'm the last person you should be scared about," a female voice said.
I furrowed my brows toward the woman because she sounded so familiar. "Do I know you?" I asked nervously.
From here I saw how the woman snapped her head to me. I got scared and brought my legs closer to my body.
There was a long pregnant pause before she rasped out some words that I couldn't understand. "Bella?" my eyes widened in shock.
"How do you know my name?" I asked and tried to move further away from her. I heard her move and then stand up. I got up myself and went to the other side of the room. "Bella, it's me," she choked her words out which made me raise a brow at her.
"I-I'm sorry, I don't know you," I nervously said as she stepped closer to me.
"B, it's me! Aaliyah,"
My body froze to the spot. My jaw dropped and my eyes widened.
"Liyah?" I ask to make sure it was her. This time I didn't move when she tried to approach me. Instead, I stayed where I was and tried to make out her face through the darkness.
When she stood right in front of me, I saw how she lifted her hand and touched my arm. "It's you," she mumbled and I could tell by her voice that she was smiling.
She pulled me into a hug that I missed for so long. Wrapping my arms around her waist, she winced. "What did they do to you?" I mumbled into her hair.
"A lot," she retorted which made me start to feel different kinds of things.
Sadness
Anger
Sorrow
We pulled away and looked at each other. "They are so stupid," she was chuckled.
