IT'S BEEN A WEEK since Axel and I last had a full conversation together. He is working the whole day so that means when I'm in bed trying to sleep, he would come home and eat what I have made for him, shower, and then come to bed. He thinks I'm sleeping when he goes to bed but I'm not.
I stay awake to see if he comes home safely. When he comes to bed, he kisses me on my forehead and then on my belly while saying 'I'm sorry'. And every time he does that, I feel my heartache.
It hurts that he is trying so hard to be there for me while also trying to keep the whole Mafia stuff from me when I was the one yelling at him. I should be the one apologizing but I'm too damn stubborn.
Today is the day he leaves for the West Coast and I'm worried.
He didn't say what he has planned or what he was going to do. I'm kind of happy that he didn't but I also want to know if it's safe. I don't want him to get hurt on this mission.
"B, can you give me that file?" Tristan asked while pointing his finger at the file next to me. I grabbed it and handed it to him.
I have been helping Tristen to find Aaliyah and any connection that can lead us to her whereabouts. I have also been working in the hospital since last week because we have a lot of injured men from the explosion in the Warehouse a week ago.
I heard the main hall door open up, and when I turned my head, I saw Axel entering it with a few of his men. They were all geared with weapons and they were wearing all-black outfits.
Axel scanned the room until his eyes landed on mine. He then started walking towards me. But he didn't stop in front of me to say bye instead he talked to Tristen which hurt.
He acts like he's mad but is also stubborn to say sorry.
"Don't worry. I'm going to have everything under control here," Tristen said while patting Axel's shoulder.
He was still ignoring me, so I continued doing what I was doing from before.
"Good, I will call you once we land and let you know when we are ready," Axel said.
After that, there was a silent moment while I was not looking.
''I'm going to leave now. Call me when you find something about Aaliyah,'' I heard them hug each other and tap their backs. ''Bye,''
