A BRIGHT LIGHT was shining through the door that just opened up a few seconds ago that made me crawl back in my corner with my knee up to my body.
''Ah good, you're awake. Less work for me,'' Vladimir, the guard that was guarding my door since I came into this hell hole. ''Here, I brought food for you. Make sure you eat it fast because I don't know how long Sila will be gone,'' he came closer and handed me a half loaf of bread and a water bottle.
I didn't waste any more time and started stuffing that bread into my mouth and drank water at the same time. I haven't had food for four days, and I would get water every few hours.
Vlad tried his best to get me as much food as possible but even he can't get much because if he get caught by one of the other guards or Sila himself, he'll get killed.
I don't want him to get hurt. ''Don't eat too fast or you'll choke on a piece of bread,'' he chuckled which made me slow down my chewing.
Once I finished my bread and my water, I handed him the empty water bottle and he immediately hid it into his jacket.
''Listen, I don't have much time until the other guard come to switch shift with me but I want you to know that they attacked the Warehouse of Axel Garcia while he was away. Your friend, Isabella, was there too. I don't have much for information but don't worry. Once I have them I will get back to you,'' he assured with a smile.
''Thank you, Vlad. I appreciate your effort,'' I said in a raspy voice. ''Do you have any news of my Family? Is my Dad still alive?'' I was scared of his answer. I knew my Dad doesn't have much more time but I wish I would be free before he is gone.
Vlad gulped and gave me a weak and sad smile. His face told me everything. ''When?'' I asked him.
''Two days ago. He died in his sleep. Peacefully and without pain,'' I began crying. He came up to me and hugged me.
''I'm sorry, Aaliyah. I know it's hard but he's in a better place,'' he whispered as he rubbed my back with his hand.
''I'm doing my best to get you out of here as fast as possible but it's hard when you have so many bulky Russian guys around you who watch every step that you take. I'm sorry that you have to wait that long,'' he pulled away from the hug when we heard footsteps coming from the hallway.
''I will be back tonight. With more food and information. I promise,'' he then walked out and closed the door behind him.
I'm alone again.
I've been spending most of the time in this dark and scary room. Vlad told me that Axel and the other are looking for me and that Isabella is very worried about me.
