I HELD HER BODY CLOSE to mine as we stayed like that for a few minutes. She was crying in my chest which broke my heart into million pieces. I didn't need her to explain what happened because her tears told everything.

I never thought I would ever hear her cry like that after we lost our baby. I felt the same pain as she felt at this exact moment. My body was consuming her pain and creating a big painful sting in my heart.

I tightened my grip on her and shut my eyes when she screamed into my chest. Her whole body was shaking as goosebumps covered mine. I was scared to let go of her as my mind thought that if I do, I would lose her again and that I would maybe wake up from a bad dream.

Not even a few hours ago, I thought she was dead. I thought my whole world was crashing down in front of me but now that I have her in my arms, everything feels surreal.

Of course, I feel happy and a feeling of relief is going through my body but I'm still worried.

I don't know what is going through her head. I don't know how I should talk to her. I don't know anything right now.

I messaged her scalp with my hand that was wrapped around her head while the other one was wrapped around her body. Leaning down, I pressed my face into her hair and gave her a small kiss on there.

''I can't do this anymore, Axel,'' she cried, clutching her hand on my shirt, and pressing her face into my chest.

''I want to go home,'' she sobbed as I felt her tears soak into my shirt.

I breathed her scent in, taking a deep breath. ''Let's go home,'' I whispered. ''Let's go back home,'' I repeated.

When I pulled away, I moved my hands to her face and cupped it. Looking at her, I wiped away her tears with my thumbs and continued caressing her red cheeks with them while staring at her watery eyes.

I leaned down and rested my forehead on hers. ''We have to get Aaliyah,'' she murmured.

I frowned my brows at her while looking down at her face. She sniffed and got out of my hold to walk further into the woods. I stopped her by grabbing her arm and pulling her back to my chest. ''Where are you going?'' I confusingly asked.

She didn't answer me, instead, she walked off into the woods. Since I didn't know if there were any more Russians around here, I followed her with my gun pulled out close to my body. I was close to her side when she stopped a few meters away from where we were standing a few minutes ago. We were now standing in front of a tree where she walked behind and crouched down.
