The whole way back to bring Emma home I was quiet. I was trying to contemplate everything my grandmother told me. I had no idea about that story with me getting angry, she's never told me before. "I've never heard that story before, Abby. Did you even know about it?" Emma asked from the back seat.

"That was the first I heard about it. She's never mentioned it ever, only told me about how good of a child I was," I said softly.

"You know, Abigail, being half demon is not so bad,"William said carefully. "I know many that are," I just looked at him, gave a small smile and rolled my eyes. He put his free hand on my thigh trying to comfort me. A few moments later we pull up to the house and there was a black van parked on the side of the road in front of he house.

"Emma? Do you know who's van that is?" I asked getting a bad feeling.

"No, the only person that was home when I left was Derik," she said. William parked the truck in the driveway and we all got out. I have no idea who this was but I was going to find out. Just then we heard a scream come from inside the house and the three of us ran inside. As soon as we entered the house I could see a big tall muscled guy standing in the entryway to the living room.

"Raven, we got company," the big guy said to someone in the living room.

"Oh, how good," Raven said as the big guy moved so see could see us. "It's the chosen one and her little friends. Oh and William! What fun this is going to be." Raven, was a taller woman with black short hair, black looking eyes, and very dark black makeup.

"Raven, how lovely it is for you to show up and torture Abigail's friend." William said with annoyance.

"Well, I haven't gotten to the torture part yet, as long as Abigail here obeys orders from her father, there will be no torturing." She said with a little banter.

"What orders?" I demanded. I could feel myself getting upset.

"He wants his little girl home. He says he's been gone for too long and needs his daughter back in his life." Raven said with an evil smile. Gone for too long, that made me laugh a little. He's the one that faked his death, he's the one that hid everything. He wants his daughter back, but he never even knew me.

"Abigail," I heard William say next me. I didn't listen though I was too focused in my thoughts. The more I thought about my father the angrier I got. I looked up directly at Raven. I just looked at her with bitter rage until I had enough. I could feel my face get hot, feel my whole body get warm. It felt like my blood was boiling.

"Get out, of my house now, before you regret anything." I said calmly, well I thought it was calmly. "Tell my father he can go to hell and stay there, where he belongs." Raven didn't move, she just stood there looking at me with a nervous look. "I said get out!" That time I wasn't as calm. My voice echoed throughout the entryway and before I could say anything else the big guy was dragging Raven out of the house. I just walked into the living room and sat down and let my head drop into my hands. I tried to calm my anger and slowly I wasn't as warm and I finally calmed down a little.

After a couple minutes I felt someone sit next to me on the sofa. They started gently rubbing my back, "Everything is going to be alright, Abigail," William said. Emma must be making sure Derik is okay and must have told William to check on me.

I just looked up at him, sadness in my eyes. "How do you know that?" I asked him wanting to cry.

"You just scared away a three hundred year old vampire, not even I can do that," William told me. "You even scared me a little as well," he admitted with a small chuckle.

"I don't see how, I'm not even intimidating. I can't even scare a mouse." I told him.

"Abigail, I do not know exactly what is going through your mind right now, but please know, you are nothing like your father. If that is what you are afraid of." William said pushing back a strand of my hair behind my ear. "You are not evil, or mean. You are sweet, kind, caring. You are perfect." He leaned forward and gave me a sweet kiss on my cheek.

"Abby, what was that?" Derik said walking over to the sofa where William snd I were giving William a dirty look as he came closer.

"What was what?" I asked him looking away from William.

"You scared that bitch away! Also you're eyes looked like they were bleeding." Derik said kneeling down and grabbing my face looking into my eyes. I pulled away from him.

"My eyes are fine," I told him. "I was just mad, that's all."

"Derik, Abby is obviously upset, just let her be for now." Emma said calmly.

"I know, I just want to help. If he can be here why can't I?" Derik asked her. Before Emma said anything she grabbed Derik by the arm and lead him out of the living room. I could hear them cussing each other out as they walked away.

"I just want this to be over with." I said out loud.

"Soon my sweet Abigail. Then this will be all over and ambrosia can stop," William said gently. I gave him a small smile and leaned into him and laid my head on his shoulder. He pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head. I have no idea what this man has done to my heart, but since I have met him, he's always been able to make me feel better. He really does seem to care, I don't know why, but I'm glad.
