Today was Halloween, the day of the big party. Since I woken up this morning I've had this bad feeling about it. Emma and I were in my bedroom getting ready. She was helping me with my hair as I heard my phone start buzzing on my vanity table. "Don't move Abby, I'll grab it I don't want you to mess up your hair," she grabbed my phone and looked at the caller I.D. "It's an unknown number," she said handing me the phone.

I answer it and put it on speaker, "hello," I said.

"Hello is this Abigail Taylor?" The unknown man said.

"Um, who's asking?" This was just making my bad feeling about tonight even worse.

"That's not important, what is important is are you going to that party tonight," the man asked carefully.

"Um, that's none of your business if I do or not," who was this guy?

"If you do go be careful. May I ask what your wearing tonight?"

"Again that's none of your business," I said getting annoyed.

"Alright Miss Taylor, that's fine, again just be careful tonight," and just like that the phone call was over. Emma had finished with my hair and took a quick seat on my bed.

"So, that was strange," Emma said exactly what I was thinking. "Who would call someone just to tell them to be careful at a party and then ask them what they're wearing to the said party?" Emma was always the protective friend. We both protected each other but she was the one that became emotionally protective.

"Well, this doesn't help the feeling I've been having all day about the party," I admitted to her. "Well let's not let this little thing bother us. Come over here and sit and I'll do your makeup." She perked up a little and sat down and I got right to work.

Once we were all ready we admired ourselves in my stand up mirror. Emma looked gorgeous in her angel costume. Her hair was straighten and parted down the middle, she added a strip of gems to her part to make it pop. She was wearing light blue eye shadow with lots of highlighter to make her bright blue eyes brighter.

I on the other hand looked more devilish in my vampire costume. My hair was curled, my makeup was dark, my eyeshadow was a dark red and black smokey eye that made my bright green eyes look even brighter and my dark red lips didn't look too harsh on my skin. "Say happy Halloween!" Emma said as we posed in front of the mirror to take a picture. "Don't worry Abby, there will be plenty more pictures taken throughout the night."

"I know," I said laughing at her. With her being a social butterfly she loves to post pictures for social media. "Alright, you ready to go as much as I don't want to."

"It'll be fun, plus don't let that creepo mess with your head," she said. "He was probably just trying to scare you."

"You're probably right," we were heading down the stairs now making our way down to the car. "You're driving, right? Because I have no idea where this party is."

"Yes I am. It's only about fifteen minutes away," she said locking the door behind her. We both got in and off we were.

The closer to the party we got the worse my nerves got, but I was trying to stay positive for Emma. "So, does anyone know who this guy is that's throwing this party," I asked her.

"Some people must," she said with a little laugh, "but I don't, so this is going to be interesting and fun I hope." Oh boy I thought. "Well here we are." I looked out the window as Emma parked the car. The place was decorated with spooky lights that blinked orange and purple. The music was so loud we could hear it from the car with the windows up.

"Well, this is going to be interesting," I said to her as she was already getting out of the car. I got out as well and was starting to regret coming.

"Come on," she grabbed my hand which forced me to follow. As we were walking up the long driveway there were so many people dressed is every costume you could imagine. We made our way into the front door and it seemed like the music got even louder. "Let's go get a drink" she shouted. I just nodded my head and followed her through the crowd.

Emma grabbed a truly iced tea and tried handing me one but I shook my head no. "One of us needs to be sober to drive home," I told her.  "You're a light weight when it comes to drinking." She just laughed and agreed.

"Hey Abby, Emma," we both looked and our other friends Jessica and Derik had made it and were making their way towards us. "You guys having any fun yet?" Jessica asked. She was dressed in a pirate costume and Derik was dressed as a cop.

"I'm having a blast," Emma exclaimed with so much enthusiasm. "Abby on the other hand, doesn't seem like it." They all looked at me and I just shrugged.

"You don't really like parties anyway, especially ones this big with a bunch of strangers," Derik said looking at me. Derik has always had a crush on my since forever. I just have never felt the same towards him.

"You're right. This is a bit much for me," I said. Thankfully we were in a corner in the kitchen of the house. It was a nice big house, very spacious and beautiful just right now the loud music was causing my anxiety to sky rocket. "I think I'm gonna go outside to cool off." I said and started making my way to the back door. Derik started following me but Emma grabbed his arm.

"Keep a close eye on her please," Emma begged. Derik nodded and headed to me. I was already outside walking away from the house trying to get away from the loud music. I saw a bench in the garden and sat down as quickly as I could trying to calm my anxiety before I had a panic attack, I let my head fall into my hands. I felt someone sit next to me and started rubbing my back.

"It's alright, Abby, we can leave if you want," I looked up and Derik was there comforting me as best as he could. His brown eyes staring into my green ones.

"No I don't wanna leave. It would upset Emma if I did, she's been so excited about this party," I said. "I just have had a weird feeling all day about it."

"What do you mean?" He asked seeming concerned.

"Well I got this strange phone call today while we were getting ready. This guy knew my full name and everything. He told me to be careful, like he knows somethings going to happen," I said looking around. It was much more quite in the garden with less people around.

"That is odd, I wonder who it was," he said curiously. Just then we heard a noise coming from the woods behind the garden. Derik got up like he was going to protect me. Next thing I know he's being thrown back and I see these creatures the ones they must have been talking about on the news. They were walking on all fours, they had long tangled dirty hair and they reeked.
I screamed but before I could do anything they grabbed me and rushed me into the woods. They started attacking me. Scratching me with their nasty claws and biting me with teeth that felt like knives cutting into my skin. I tried to scream and fight back but it was no use. Next thing I knew everything started going black and blood seemed to fill my vision and I eventually blacked out from the pain.
