Tshiamo was so used to going to the gym every morning that she kept to her routine even when she wasn't home. Being in another province might have been a challenge but Google helped her find her way. She woke up at 5:00am as usual and made her way to the gym.
When she got there, the parking lot had not opened yet so she was forced to park outside the gym, not far from the entrance though.
30 minutes in, she remembered that she left her phone in her rental car and got up to go and Fetch it. Opened the car, took out her phone and just when she was about to head back in, she was stopped by some guy trying to rob her."Don't you make a sound" He said. Tshiamo was beyond scared. It was just a little bright but no person was on sight.
A man walked out of the gym and looked to see the altercation because Tshiamo kept on pleading with the man to leave her alone.
The man walked quietly towards the two and gave the robber a hard knock to the back of his head. When he turned around the was welcomed by a punch that just caused him to become instantly dizzy."Are you OK?" The knight in shining armour asked the shaken lady. She took a deep breath. "Thank you so much abuti, I don't know what could have happened had you not came out of the gym". She said.
"listen, lock your car and let's go back inside" He said. "Alright" she replied and they walked back in.
When they got to the light, the two couldn't help but to burst out in laughter after finding that they know each other.
"Oh my goodness, is this a coincidence or some sort of supernatural thing..or..
Did Motheo ask you to watch out for me?Hearing Motheo's name, Tiego was just torn but he kept his cool." No". he chuckled "It is in fact a coincidence because I was done with my morning session and ready to go to work.
They walked towards vending machine and he got her some water." Here". He gave her.
"Thank you". She drank the water and they both sat on one of the benches in there. So, What are you doing here?" he asked her.
"I'm here on business actually. There are some contracts that I have to fix and endless meetings." she said.
"Any free time?", maybe you might use a friend after your near death experience "He said to her.
"You know what, I could really use a friend. Plus you know this place. I will be here for a week and I'd like to go sight seeing. Mind being my tour guide? She said with a smile.
"I'd love to have some down time you know. Get a little air. Tiego said.
"Just let me know when you are free and we'll go have some fun" He finished.Tshiamo looked at him, alright, I'll do that...there was some silence as they looked at each other.
Uhm, I have to go back to my hotel room and get ready for work, I have a meeting in an hour. See you soon okay?... She said.
"Cool". Tiego replied and started walking away.Tshiamo took out her phone and just then, she realized that she didn't have Tiego's number. She ran outside to ask him for them and luckily he was on the phone next to his car.
When he saw her running towards him, he thought something was wrong, so he hung up the phone and walked towards her. "is there something wrong?" He asked her in a worried tone.
"yes" she answered and he gave her a confused look. "what is it?" he asked her
She laughed and he looked at her, not even a grin on his face.
"Tiego, I don't have your number" she said. He looked at her. "You like playing games huh" he took her phone and dialed his number and gave it back to her.
"You like taking things too serious huh" she said and walked away from him.
He stood there, the way she said that.... Was she flirting?.. He asked himself.
She looked back at him before going back in the gym to fetch her things before she can leave.Teigo got into his car and went to work as he was ready. Tshiamo also took her stuff, went back to the hotel, took a shower and left for her meeting.
They both though of how weird it was that they felt so free with each other and throughout knowing each other, they probably only had one word conversation or just your normal small talk. It was nice to just talk.

Motheo had now been wallowing in pitty for quite some time. He had only been to work probably 3 days a week and his colleagues as well as his boss were starting to worry. One of his close colleagues, who was also at the party came looking for him when he didn't pitch for work on a Friday again. He walked in as the door wasn't locked and he used the small gate to enter. "Mo man... What's going on with you?" he had never seen him this low. "what happened for you to allow yourself to be at such a low point. I mean it's unlike you to deliberately miss meetings, let alone show up for work. Bro, you have worked hard for the position you're in.... Don't throw it away over a personal matter thag can be fixed" His colleague finished.
"What makes you think it can be fixed" Motheo answered without even looking at him. "Everything has a solution man" Kevin replied (the colleague)
"I fucked up OK.... My wife wants nothing to do with me, Tshidi just won't have any of my shit anymore and my best friend" .... He sighed." "He" ... Motheo shook his head. "I fucked up man, and now all the shit I thought I had under control seems to be blowing up in my face. The people who loved and cared for me think of me as a piece of shit now"...
For the first time in a long time, he was heartbroken, especially because he betrayed Tiego. Or maybe he felt bad that he was caught. He wanted things to go back to normal, where he was tye alpha in all things and everyone saw him as the hero.
"Talk to your best friend. I mean, you have nothing to loose. If he cares about you just as much as you do for him, he will listen... Well, eventually" Kevin felt sorry for him.
Motheo took a deep breath. "I'll think about it man and I'll be at work on Monday, this was just me needing time to reboot... You know".He looked at Kevin, his eyes were red. It was clear that he hadn't had some sleep in a while. He wasn't drunk or even drinking so that put Kevin at ease a little.
"Alright, get some rest man... We'll talk" Kevin said as he made his way out. "Sure... Thanks for checking in" Motheo replied, waved at him as he left and went to bed. He needed to get some proper rest.
