Tiego and Tshiamo have now been living together and things couldn’t be any better. This week was to be his older sister’s 40th birthday and him being the only brother, he had to be there. Tiego was the golden boy to everyone and his sisters definitely made him feel it. The way they loved him was equivalent to the way the looked out for him. He always had a protective layer around him and after what he went through with Tshidi, he was very much concerned with how his family will react to his new partner.
This can be very much embarrassing especially since it seems that the two best friends swapped partners, it was bound to be awkward. “Babe, you have nothing to worry about”. He said trying to get Tshiamo to relax as she was very much nervous about how things will go when she finally gets to meet her partner’s family. They know her to be Motheo’s wife and she was just shit scared of the judgement.
They both got ready and got in the car. The drive felt like a fast one. Tshiamo was just allot uneasy. When they got there, people were gathered in the yard, others sitting on their camp chairs as it was a casual party. Tshiamo wore a body hugging blue torn jean, a white chic low V cut blouse and a pair of nude pencil heels. Tiego was wearing an outfit that matched hers. they looked fresh AF.
Walking in Tiego saw his parents and walked straight to them before heading inside the house. He held Tshiamo by the hand and eyes were definitely on them. “Ow Tiego” His mom was excited to see him as always. “Hi Ma” He smiled and they hugged. He shook his father’s hand and they said their greetings. The parents looked at Tshiamo expectantly, waiting for an introduction, it seemed like they sort of had no idea who she was. Mrs Molapo smiled “Who is this lovely lady?” She asked.Tiego took her hand again. ”mom, Dad. This is my girlfriend Tshiamo…Baby, this is Mr and Mrs Molapo”. He turned to look at her and she smiled and greeted them. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Mr and Mrs Molapo. “She said with a smile. Tshiamo always had that good girl thing going on so, it was very easy for people, especially elders to like her. Tiego’s mom was already thinking grand children, she dove right in and embraced her. Tshiamo couldn’t be more happy. She hadn’t had an opportunity to get close to her mother in law in her previous marriage and now that Tiego is doing things more openly, she appreciated that she would probably have a relationship with the woman who raised the man she loves.
“Lets go inside” He said to her after his mom started talking about how much he’s glowing and that he seems to be smiling more and that he has gained some weight. Tshiamo kept laughing when Tiego just rolled his eyes. He took her by the hand again and took her to meet his elder sister. They hit it off as well. She never really liked Tshidi from the get go, which is why they wouldn’t visit him a lot when he lived in the EC.
The day went smoothly and the drinks were flowing. People were having a good time. Tshiamo decided to go to the bathroom in the house as she was pressed. She did her business and as she walked out, she couldn’t help but become confused by what she was seeing. What is she doing here?
“Well, well, well….if it isn’t the precious Mrs Tlhabane herself. “The lady smirked at her with arrogance. Tshiamo shook her head and just decided to walk away but she was blocked from passing. “Do yourself a favour and get out of my way” Tshiamo didn’t have the energy to entertain the likes of her. She used to screw her ex-husband and rub it in her face. This is the same lady she found almost devoured on her porch. “I’m looking at you play kissy face with his best friend, hmmm…I wonder if Mr Tlhabane is aware of his wife doing the nasty with his best friend”. She was looking for Tshiamo to be fazed, little did she know that she couldn’t care less. “Well, knock yourself out….besides, your ways of trying to find shit out about Motheo from me are pathetic. But since you’re looking for some tea, otherwise you wouldn’t have even bothered me. Motheo and I have divorced and he now has a new life in Eastern Cape.” Tshiamo looked at her as she took a minute to let that register. “Now, get the fuck out of my way”. She pushed her to the side and walked out, going back to Tiego and the family.
This woman was now dating one of Tiego’s family friends and he didn’t even notice her as he never paid attention to Motheo and his many girlfriends.

TShidi and Motheo spent the day at the Dr as it was Molemo’s immunization date. After their visit, they all went to get some lunch. Mom, Dad and their kids. There was some fresh air, good vibes and happiness coming into their life again. For the first time they don’t have to lie to anyone about how they really feel about each other. They found love first in each other and now that they’re together, all the shit that happened was history.
After a peaceful day out, they went home and went by their day. At night time, Tshidi had bathed both kids and put them both to bed while Motheo got busy with some business. He was good at what he did which is why he never struggled to get a job, a good one at that. He was always headhunted by companies. Therefore, his move to the EC went swiftly.
“Hey”. He whispered as he walked into Molemo’s nursery. She looked up and smiled while sitting on the rocking chair with Molemo is her arms. “Is he asleep yet?” He asked as he slowly walked in. “Yes, I was about to put him in the cot.” She said and then stood up and placed him down. They walked to the lounge and sat on the couch. The house was quiet and this was a moment that Tshidi deserved as Molemo was irritable most of the time.
She stood there with the feet up on the couch, slightly leaning back with her eyes closed. She was abit stressed about going back to work. And just like any other mother, separation anxiety was getting to her. As she sat there allowing her body to sink into calmness, she felt a soft brush of lips upon hers and she immediately opened her eyes and there he was looking into them. He held her face and proceeded to kiss her as he hovered over her. She did not protest.
For a moment there she felt like it was like they had both been waiting to have each other but held back. He stood down and let her straddle him. He held her butt as they kissed and she had her arms around his neck. She could feel that he was getting hard and she was also aroused.
“mmm…Motheo, please stop”. She said as he was kissing her neck and reaching into the pants. She definitely caught him by surprise. He stopped and looked at her, hands on the side of her thighs. “Is there something wrong?” He asked her and she shook her head trying to get off him but he held her in place. “I can’t “ She said looking to the side.
She had been hurt and used by Motheo for a long time that she did not want to allow him back in that easy. He has proved to be a willing father to their children but she wasn’t sure that she was ready to trust him again. Not only was she not ready to move forward with him, a part of her missed Tiego. She was treated like a queen, spoiled to the tee at all times and she couldn’t help but wonder if he will ever be able to play a role as good as Tiego could. One thing she didn’t want to do was compare the two, even though it was hard. Talking about the journey again would cause a mess as it is a sore subject for all of them. However, Motheo had to work hard to prove his worth to her because she was not going to let him have his way with her that easy.

With change definitely comes growth. Just as the saying “once bitten, twice shy”. Fear becomes your friend when considering giving it another chance.
