Motheo got to the mall after his mother gave him the grocery list. As soon as he got to the store he went right for it. He got all the things that he was sent to buy and bought some wine for Tshidi and his mother.
He went to pay and made his way out. Just as he got to the parking lot, he realized that he saw a car that he could recognize anywhere. It was Tshiamo's car. He put the groceries in the boot of his car and waited a little and decided to walk over to check if it was indeed her.
He knocked on the window and when it rolled down, There was his best-friend driving his ex-wife's car. "Ow, Hi man...Howzit?" He sounded abit awkward. "Where you expecting someone else?" Tiego was annoyed and amused at the same time."No...this is kind of expected" He said, clearing his throat......"Hi Tshiamo" He waved at her and she waved back. "Bro, can we talk?'' He asked Tiego. He looked at Tshiamo and when she nodded, he got out of the car.
He stood next to him, both leaning on the car. "Whats up man?" He looked at Motheo, giving him his full attention but at this moment Tiego was ready to go off on him if he gave him shit."Look bro, I want to apologize...For everything I've put you through, for fucking with your life like it was nothing. I was selfish. In fact selfish does not cut it. I don't know what it is that I can do to have you forgive me....I know I messed up, but I miss my brother man. You were the one thing that kept me in check, even though I was doing my shit. you always had my back and you knew how to get me back line." He finished and looked at him.
"So basically, you need someone to babysit you? Someone who can look after you and make sure you don't fuck up again?...Aren't you old enough to do that for yourself?" He chuckled. "I don't get it Motheo, you screw me over, impregnate my wife. well, your arranged wife. Try to ruin my career, my father's reputation and our family. The child I knew as mine is yours and now that I'm starting afresh with my life, you some how see it fit to ask me to come back in yours... would you mind showing me how in the fuck does this make sense?". Tiego was done with him.
"Listen man, I didnt mean it in that way and I definitely understand why you'd still want nothing to do with me. I hope that maybe one day you can find it in your heart to forgive me." He finished. Not wanting to go further because honestly, he didnt know what else to say and he also didnt want to make matters worse.
Tiego nodded and opened the car door. "Baby, let's go in" They had errands to run so Tshiamo got out of the car and walked towards the two guys.
Both of them hovering over her petite self. One looking at her with love and pride and the other looking at her with utter shock. Motheo couldnt believe his eyes. How the hell can she be pregnant when he has tried countless times to get her pregnant but couldn't?. What made Tiego that special that he could do it in a matter of less than 3 years when he's been with her longer than that. He started to think that he could be getting punished but then he quickly pushed the thought away after accepting that he probably deserves it.
He was brought out of his thoughts by Tiegos nudge. "Are you okay man? Tiego asked him "Yeah...it's just...uhmm....Congratulations to the both of you" He replied, going in to hug Tiego and once he got to Tshiamo she offered him a hand shake instead. "Thank you" she smiled and reached out her hand to Tiego. They walked into the mall, leaving him to his thoughts once more.
He watched them as they walked away. One would swear he would just break down.*****
The two ladies waited for him and when he got home, they continued with the day as normal. After dinner, Motheos mother took the kids and he got to sit with Tshidi. She could see that something has been eating away at him since he walked in.He wasnt in the same mood he was when he left. "Spit it out" She said as she brought him a glass of his whiskey. He looked at her and smiled. "Marry me" He said to her. "No.....That's not what's on your mind and until you tell me what has you by the balls, I will not agree". She knew him all too well.
