Tiego was over the drama brought in his life by Motheo and his circus and now that he had nothing to hold in to from his previous marriage, WC proved to be a dreadful place.

He got to work the next morning and started drafting a resignation letter. He wanted a fresh start. He is good with logistics and his father had been asking him to head that department in his company. All this time Tiego had not seen the need until now.

He was ready to take his place as sole heir to the throne. He opened the envelope that had his paternity results once more, reminding him of his lost hope. A part of him had some hope that he'd have a child with his former wife but now that the child isn't his and he and Tshiamo had called it quits, he just wanted a sense of newness.

He gave himself a week to move back to Gauteng, live in his ranch and figure his life out. He handed in his resignation letter and made it clear that it was in immediate effect and then he called his father and asked to have a meeting with him. He wanted to do things formally and fairly. He wanted to earn his way in rather than to just be given the position.

After clearing out his office, he went home and started preparing his departure. Good ridden to bad rubbish indeed. "A little clean slate has never hurt anyone" He said to himself as he prepared him have someone rent it out for as long as he'll be gone.

With help from his real estate agent he was able to get someone sooner than he expected.

Motheo's summons were sent to his mother's house after he was not found at his place. Tshiamo had been anxious about the whole thing. knowing that Motheo is capable of anything she mentally prepared herself for the worst.

She waited 2 weeks for his reply and when he didn’t. He was summoned to appear in court. When he arrived, he told Tshiamo that we would not be signing the divorce papers and that they still have a love filled marriage. “ My wife is just having one of her episodes, each time she does not get what she wants she tends to act out in these kinds of ways”. He said, adamantly intending on making her seem like she did not think this action through.

“Honey, don’t you think we should go home and try to work things out , instead of wasting these lovely peoples’ time. Your honour, my apologies that we wasted your time. We will be out of here so that you can deal with more important cases”. He looked at Tshiamo and she shook her head, very much irritated by his actions. How could Motheo just come in this court room and pretend as if she is overreacting by wanting to divorce him.

He reached out his hand and tried to hold her. “NO!!”. She shouted and everyone there stopped to look at her. “I am not overreacting and I’m not acting impulsively. You and I have been separated for months. I moved out, not because I always want to get my way but because Motheo you are a serial cheater, you do not know how to have one woman.

You have impregnated your best friend’s wife for crying out loud. You were busy with another woman in our own home and you did not even care whether I saw it or not. The only thing you cared about was satisfying yourself. I do not want to be with you anymore. Motheo, I am done with this foolishness of a relationship or marriage, whatever it is that you consider it to be…its over!

Your honour, I am not leaving this place as this man’s wife.” She finished. Motheo looked at her and for the first time his claws were no longer sharp enough for her, she was completely out of his reach. He could not control her as he used to anymore. This is when it really dawned on him that she was no longer his. He stood down, no longer putting up a fight.

The judge and lawyers did not even make any arguments. They prepared the paperwork and helped the dissolve what they have together in the marriage. They were married out of community so the processing may not take that long. “I want to keep my house” Motheo said. He was still petty. “He can have it, all I want is to have him completely out of my life.” She signed the papers and asked that they contact her once everything is finalised.

Tiego had been in Gauteng for about a month now and things were looking up as he had earned his job as senior director in the logistic department of the company. He was settling in well, and his mind was at ease for the first time in a long time.

“knock, knock” A lady said standing at his office door. “Pulling an all nighter…again?” She asked him. ”Hey, someone has to do the nasty jobs right?” He shrugged. “Come on Mr M, you need to give yourself a break, you’ve been at this for the past two months already. You need to give that mind of yours a rest.” She said and he looked at her as if he was actually considering it.

“A friend of mine is launching her new restaurant tonight…come…I’m sure you’ll love the food. Plus I think it would be nice if you got acquainted with….well, with me .” She smiled. “You’re right Thulile, I think joining you won’t be such a bad idea.” He smiled back.

When they got to the restaurant, it was quite full, but they managed to get a table. They had a light conversation and the way she took interest in him he could tell that she had more than becoming his acquaintance in mind. And she is a pretty lady but Tiego felt that he wasn’t quite ready for a relationship, not after the ones he had with Tshidi and Tshiamo.

He looked at her body language and just thought to himself that if he would even pay the slightest mind, she would only be a rebound and he was not ready to bring such drama to his life and to his workplace.

The food came and they ate, they had some wine and the night was flowing very nicely. “I should get going”. Tiego said to her after a while. “Why so early…the night is still young you know” She was having a good time with this charmer. “I have to hit the gym early in the morning so staying out late was not in my plans hey.” He just wanted to get home and relax.

“Alright then, can I join you at the gym tomorrow, maybe you could teach me a thing or two.” She wasn’t planning on letting him get away that easy. “Alright, I start at 6am” He said while they walked out. “I’ll be there”. She said and He nodded. He made his way home and went straight to bed.
