Trouble came in the form of their rut. Yep. It has been around a month after the kitchen incident. Things have fallen into place and now, nearly everyone has grown accustomed to the trueblood's presence. No one bats an eyelid if they see the trueblood sitting somewhere. It was a normal thing for them.

Though, now both the mates were in a tight situation. Apparently staying so close to each other had triggered off Jungkook's rut which had inturn triggered off V's or for a lack of a better explanation, Taehyung's rut. It was normal for mates to have their rut and heat get in sync after they met, since it made it easier to reproduce. Though in cases of both male mates, their ruts got in sync though they couldn't really reproduce, but hey, wolves don't really give a shit as long as the mating is completed.

As soon as Jungkook realized his rut had started, he panicked. He was in the middle of a meeting, with V sitting right outside the door when his rut had hit, his body growing hot and his entire hormones going haywire. His eyes were switching from his normal black orbs to those of his wolf, and he was having a hard time trying to control it.

He knew that mating was out of the question. Wolf mating was very dangerous for the human body, especially if the mating had not been completed in the human form first. Wolves tend to be extremely rough and may bite off chucks of the other's neck to complete the marking, which in result leads to the human body suffering. And since his mate was not in his human form but in his wolf form, yeah, mating was definitely not an option.

He may have been too focused on trying to control himself as he didn't catch the fading scent of his mate, until Namjoon rushed into the room, alerted by the scent and exclaimed,' ohh, thats why the trueblood ran off like a fucking bullet. I wondered what had happened. Come on, let's get you locked up in your room so that you don't pose any threat to anyone'

Jungkook had not registered anything apart from the fact that his mate, who was in his wolf form, his primal form had actually ran off to protect him. That made Jungkook feel warm, on top of the hot feeling he was already under.

He quickly followed Namjoon to the cellar, where Namjoon made sure to chain his legs. It was a necessity in a scenario like this. Jungkook cannot let his wolf shift and go after the trueblood, it would be a disaster.

Atleast his mate's wolf was mature enough to go away when it was needed. Jk on the other hand was just a horny fucker who wanted to get laid.

Jungkook couldn't help but curse his wolf to hell.

V had felt that sweet tantalizing smell of his mate's rut, and he was horny as fuck. If it wasn't for his human who had taken control back after 10 years, he probably would have gone ahead and mated with Jk, completely forgetting about the dire consequences.

But Taehyung was no fool. He knew instantly what was happening. That sweet scent of his mate was accompanied by the scent of panic and he knew Jungkook was scared of the wolf mating.

Thus, he quickly took action which was relatively easy, V was caught off guard as he switched control. V hadn't expected his human to take over, especially since it had been ages since the last time the human was in control. V had protested a little but immediately gone quiet when Taehyung had explained that a wolf mating will hurt their mate. V would never want to hurt his mate, no matter how horny he feels.

Taehyung reached the cave that was atleast a good long distance from his mate's pack. He knew that in order for both him and Jungkook to survive this rut, he will need to shift back to his human form.

That was something Taehyung was not comfortable with but nonetheless, it was for Jungkook's safety so he would do it.

Taehyung felt the pain when his bones snapped, the wolf form disappearing to leave a human whose knees buckled as he fell.

Taehyung hasn't used his human form in such a long time. He didn't even know what he looked like now, if his baby fat had disappeared, if his face looked the same.

He could tell his hair was too long, going past his shoulders and that he was taller. He was at Jungkook's height, probably 1 or 2 inches taller. That made him happy.

The pain hit him so suddenly, making him groan in agony. Rut was always painful for him as he never went looking for a companion to get rid of the pain. He had always wanted to wait for his mate, thus he never touched another. Girl or boy included. V was similar, whenever the rut started , V would go to look for a lake and submerge his body in the water, keeping his head up. It helped soothe the pain and made him slightly conscious to think of his actions. Rut can blind a werewolf with need, making it impossible to not give in. As Taehyung was a trueblood, he had more control over his rut, maybe that's why he managed to take action so swiftly.

He wondered if his mate had spent his previous ruts with anyone. It wasn't really a bad thing. Alpha's couldn't control their ruts like Taehyung could so he knew it was a huge possibility that Jungkook may have spent his previous ruts with a companion. It surprising didn't bother him as much as it should. His mate wasn't obliged to wait for him all those years and he understood that.

Unlike the previous times, today he was spending his rut in the caves alone, feeling the full force of his rut and fuck did he hate it. For the first time, Taehyung regretted not being able to be with Jungkook in his human form. Just imagining Jungkook made Taehyung wallow in need and arousal.

Jungkook was beautiful. There was no doubt about it. He was so enticing. His big doe like bambi eyes made him look like a deer, and his cute rabbit teeth just added icing to the cake. Now that Taehyung focuses on that, he realized that Jungkook looked like a rabbit. A musculed bunny. No wonder V likes him so much. The trueblood always loved rabbits, chasing them around whenever he saw one. And his lips. Taehyung could only imagine how those two beautiful petals would feel against his. There was a tiny mole below Jungkook's lips, which had always captured Taehyung's attention. How he would like to trace that mole.. it sort of intrigued or inspired him to just see if it was real. How the hell can his mate be so fucking perfect, Taehyung didn't know. Jungkook was like a wet dream for Taehyung, a dream that the trueblood was eager to seek and fulfil.

Taheyung thought about all the time spent in the Shaded Moon Pack. Jungkook had explained everything regarding the pack to him. Though his mate did not know that Taehyung already knew everything. Just hearing the pack's name was enough for Taehyung to remember everything needed regarding the pack. It was something he was taught at an early age by his original pack.

Jungkook was going to be head alpha soon. Would that make him a luna? Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle. Imagine him, a trueblood, as a luna? How fucking funny. But it didn't matter. His rank didn't matter when it came to his mate. Nothing mattered when it came to his mate. Only Jungkook mattered.

Another pain wrecked his body as Taehyung tried so hard to focus on anything apart from Jungkook's delicious looking lips and that delectable body of his. It was harder to not think about that.

The hyungs were really nice. Jimin was pregnant. None of the others knew about that. Taehyung was sure it won't be long before they found out. Taheyung can't wait to see that happiness on everyone's faces. A pup was like a blessing. It always bought so much happiness.

He knew that since both Jungkook and him were male and that too, alpha and trueblood, they can not have pups.

But they can always adopt right? Maybe when shit isn't so complicated and the threat of danger doesn't loom around him, he'll reveal his human self to Jungkook and they might be able to start a fresh.

Taheyung wanted that so bad. A family with Jungkook. A life with Jungkook.

A life where he didn't have to hide, where he didn't have to hurt his mate inorder to protect him, a life where he was just happy with Jungkook.

Taehyung is never one to shy away from his feelings. He knew he was falling for his mate. The alpha was just so kind hearted and amazing that Taehyung couldn't help but fall.
