It was 2 days after Jungkook had first met the trueblood. He waited everyday at the northern border, hoping the trueblood will magically appear.

He didn't. Obviously.

But Jungkook didn't lose hope. Though the separation from his mate did start to show its effects. There were dark circles under his eyes, his face looked exhausted. He couldn't sleep at night, his wolf whining for its mate.

Jungkook had gotten quieter, his wolf irritated at all times. He spent most of his day time in the pack office, learning from his father on how to deal with pack issues. His evenings were spent in training rather vigorously. His night was spent waiting at the border, until he exhausted himself to a level where all his body could do was shut down. The separation was taking a huge toll on him.

His hyungs were very concerned. It was unusual for Jungkook to be so quiet, so unlively. Jungkook had always been different from most alphas. While other alphas were arrogant and too serious, Jungkook was full of life and very down to earth. He was like the joy of the house. Now that Jungkook was gloomy, the entire house felt gloomy as well.

'Jungkook. Did you eat anything today?', Jin asked, concerned because he didn't see the younger alpha at breakfast or lunch.

It was afternoon, nearing evening and they were all settled in the sitting room, the hyungs had dragged Jungkook from the office to have a 'talk' with him.

Jungkook felt uneasy at the question. He knew Jin would scold him. Jin was scary when he was pissed.

'Uhh.. hyung.. kinda?', he answered, though the lie was very apparent.

'Jungkook! You need to eat. Skipping your meals isn't healthy. You know that better than anyone. Wait here. I'll bring you something to eat and you will finish it all. If not then be ready to say hello to my spatula', Jin hyung nearly growled.

The other hyungs were all sitting around quietly, afraid to say anything in the fear that it might tick off Jin even more. Even Jin's mate, Namjoon, was quiet, feeling his mate's anger through the mate bond.

As Jin left to go to the kitchen, Yoongi spoke up first.

'Kook? I know your wolf is missing his mate. But you need to stay healthy. Working whole day and staying awake whole night isn't helping. Its tiring your body out. You need to stop. You are worrying us', there were murmurs of agreement from the others as Jungkook just looked down at his lap.

He knew the others were right. But he couldn't help himself. His wolf was in pain. He was in pain.

'I'm sorry', was all he could say.

The others looked at him with sympathy. They all had their mates. They knew how much it affected their wolf if your mate was not there with you.

'Jungkook. He will be back. Have faith,' it was Jimin this time, the omega putting a comforting hand over Jungkook's shoulder.

Jungkook nodded, though in his heart, the hope was slowly diminishing.

Didn't his mate feel the separation? Doesn't his mate miss him?

He couldn't help but wonder.

It happened so sudden. There was a scent of fresh rain and sandalwood that filled up the air, the panicked voices of his pack members coming through the pack link.

'Alpha, the trueblood is coming towards the pack house with a huge deer in his mouth'

Huh?

A what in his mouth?

The confusion filled his mind first before he realized what the pack warriors had said. His mate was back.

His wolf was dancing in his head with happiness. He quickly got up and ran towards the door, opening it only to see the trueblood running towards him. The pack members who were outside quickly scattered away from the trueblood's path, fear eminent in the air because of the trueblood's aura.

He actually has a deer in his mouth. Jungkook couldn't help but chuckle. His mate was indeed something else.

The trueblood stopped atleast 10 feet away from the door, looking at Jungkook, the deer still in his mouth.

Jungkook quickly walked towards the trueblood, curiosity burning bright.

The trueblood put the deer right in front of the trueblood, letting out a small bark and laying down on the ground, his front legs under his face, staring at Jungkook directly.

'Wha-', Jungkook was so confused. Why was the trueblood giving him a deer?

That question was answered by Namjoon who stood with the others, having ran outside after Jungkook.

'Its a gift. Courting gift to be exact. The trueblood is courting you', Namjoon's tone held amusement.

Jungkook smiled so brightly at the realization. His mate was so cute. That smile turned into a happy laughter as he stared at his mate who tilted his head, as if to ask why he was laughing.

'You are sooo cute I swear to the moon goddess. Damn Wolfie! Thank you for such a sweet gift. I love it and I accept it', he happily said, after which he took off his clothes and shifted to his wolf.

JK circled around the deer, sniffing and letting out a purr of happiness. The trueblood also purred, happy with the reaction of his mate.

After carefully examining the deer, Jk turned towards the trueblood, licking the mighty wolf's fur, making the trueblood let out small huffs of joy.

The feeling was so incredible. The two wolves were meeting each other without any boundaries or disturbances from their humans.

They licked each other clean, scenting each other while emitting purrs of happiness.

It was really a sight to see.

Behind them stood the other 5, Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok, Yoongi and Jimin, who were all smiling so brightly. It was always a wonderful sight to see two mate wolves meeting, their love for each other so visible, kind of suffocating the air but still beautiful nonetheless.

Wolves were very different from humans. While humans need to get to know each other and spend time together in order to fall in love, wolves always fell in love at first sight. They recognize their mate and pledged themselves to their mate for all eternity. Wolves were monogamous creatures, they only mated once. Though sometimes the werewolves were given a second chance mate but it was still very rare.

The whole pack was bearing witness to the love of the two wolves. It wasn't everyday that they saw a trueblood and an alpha being so affectionate. Usually when two dominants are bonded as mates, it doesn't end well.

Both dominant wolves unwilling to submit. That fight for dominance results in rejection almost all the time. Thus, watching a trueblood, which was the most dominant of them all not trying to make his mate submit but rather being affectionate was a huge deal.

The others ventured inside eventually as the two wolves laid next to each other, bodies close lacking any space in between. Their wolves were at peace, just taking in the bliss of having their mate next to each other after 2 days.

It was about 2 hours later that Jk stood up and in his place stood Jungkook, who quickly put his clothes on.

'Hey Wolfie. I missed you too you know. Maybe not as much as Jk but I still missed you'

The trueblood let out a whine, trying to lick Jungkook's face.

'Stop', Jungkook laughed. 'Please tell me you'll stay this time. I can't bear to be separated from you again. JK will go crazy'

The wolf titled his head and let out a bark which Jungkook didn't quite understand. The trueblood may have realized that because the next thing he did surprised Jungkook to say the least.

The wolf sort of shook his head, kinda like nodding.

Jungkook laughed in amazement. 'You'll stay?'

The wolf nodded again. And Jungkook quickly hugged the trueblood, hiding his face in its fur.

'Thank you, thank you, thank you wolfie'

Jungkook was happy. Things finally were going well and he couldn't wait to spend more time with the trueblood. It didn't matter that his mate was in his wolf form. He was just happy his mate was atleast with him.

Thats all he had hoped for. Atleast for now.
