The aftermath of the attack was not pretty. Apart from the mutilated bodies, the pack members were sort of afraid of the trueblood, they were slightly proud but also very scared.

Jungkook knew he will have to let V know about the news of him being a trueblood getting out. There wasn't really a choice in the matter. The trueblood had already gathered that something was wrong, so there was no point in hiding it.

He was just really scared of the trueblood's reaction. What if the trueblood decided to leave him because he couldn't protect his secret?

What Jungkook didn't know was that Taehyung had already figured it out. Because the rogues had specifically attacked him once he showed himself, he knew they were after him. So it was pretty obvious that people now knew there was a trueblood in South Korea. And since Taehyung knew what kind of dangers it would bring to Jungkook, he was not planning on leaving any time soon. Of course he wasn't going to leave anyway. He wasn't going to leave his mate no matter what happened. Jungkook was his one weakness and now the people that Taehyung had been hiding from knew that too.

A mate is a werewolf's weakness. They can be their strength too but they were mostly the only thing that made a werewolf weak.

And Jungkook was Taehyung's only weakness.

Taehyung knew that many would want to use that weakness against him. So in short, Jungkook was not safe at all.

Taehyung made sure to let V know to never leave Jungkook's side. No matter what the circumstances were, V was to always stay with Jungkook just incase Taehyung couldn't take control. Which was highly unlikely as Taehyung was mentally very strong.

Despite it all, Taehyung was not taking any risks.

Jungkook had informed the trueblood about everything, though to be honest he was surprised with the reaction he received. The trueblood had seemed too calm. It wasn't a comforting calm either. It was rather deadly.

Jungkook couldn't understand his mate or what was going inside that wolf brain of his. He was in hopes that the human side would be able to control the wrath of the trueblood.

Things for now seemed normal. Too normal. He had expected more attacks as his father had refused entry to every pack that had requested it. Usually that results in pack wars but none of the packs had attacked yet. There wasn't any news about any pack planning to attack either.

Jungkook couldn't figure out if it was good or bad. His father and Namjoon on the other hand argued that maybe it was because the other packs thought they actually had a trueblood despite them refusing anything of such. It was reasonable as other wolves were scared of the trueblood.

Having the most dominant wolf, the trueblood had amazing strength and power. They were strong, fast and extremely deadly. Also, truebloods were said to be gifts from the moon goddess herself, as it is rather hard for two Alpha's to conceive, thus many witches believe that a trueblood is blessed. A trueblood's blood could be used to heal life threatening injuries and even a drop could be used to make the most powerful spells. Ofcourse, all this was hypothetical since there has only been 2 Truebloods for a long time. The first trueblood had died atleast 60 years ago. The second one was in Japan and he is 40 years old or something. They were never really in any danger, having a powerful pack to back them up. The third is obviously V. Thus why there was such big demand for the trueblood. People wanted to test out the myths about the spells. Especially witches.

The trueblood could be captured if he was poisoned with wolfsbane and silver which would weaken the wolf, thus making it impossible for the trueblood to fight or use his trueblood alpha command, which was another powerful tool. This was ofcourse, not yet proven if it was true or not. A trueblood alpha command is something like an alpha command. While normal Alpha's can only use that command on their own pack members, a trueblood can use the trueblood alpha command on any wolf of a lower rank, be it an alpha, beta or omega. One command was enough to bring thousands down to their knees in submission. It was said to be that awesome. But ofcourse, none of this was proven and thus, still remained a mystery.

Another way was leverage. In this case it was Jungkook who could be used. As the mate of the trueblood, Jungkook knew he could prove to be a weakness for the trueblood but he was determined to never let that happen.

Plus the biggest issue was how his mate hasn't shifted to his human form. The trueblood can't give a command while in his wolf form. It would only work if he was in his human form. Looking at how his mate hasn't shifted at all ever since they met, Jungkook knew it wouldn't happen anytime soon. And plus it wasn't like the trueblood alpha command story was proven, for all Jungkook knows, it could just be a fucking load of bull crap.

So he knew they had to prepare for the worst possible scenario. Just in case a war did break out, they needed to be prepared.

Ofcourse Jungkook would never ask his pack to risk their lives unwillingly. So he had asked his pack members if they were willing to fight if it came down to it.

His pack had immediately agreed to fight and pledged their life to save their future luna. Despite being afraid of the trueblood's true aura, they had come to respect and love the scary alpha, knowing he was their future luna.

Taehyung was astonished when the pack had agreed to fight without any ounce of hesitation. No one had ever stood up for him or tried to protect him, well except for his mother who had lost her life in the process.

It was truly nerve wrecking for him. He was happy to be accepted but also afraid for their safety because he knew what or rather who was coming.

Taehyung was just scared for the pack and his mate. He knew he was capable of protecting them himself, alone but that would result in showing everyone who he really was, not just his appearance but also his true human nature, which will in turn, open up his past for the whole pack to see.

Taehyung was afraid of their reaction and he was afraid of being rejected. But if it ever came down to it, he was willing to risk it all for the people before him, the first people ever since his mother who accepted him despite his rank.

Taehyung knew that there were two ways this was going to end.

First, he would kill every threat to Jungkook and his pack. Every threat that happened because he was Jungkook's mate. Then Jungkook and the pack would hate him and he would most probably be rejected by Jungkook and the pack. The mate bond would break and so will his heart. Taehyung knew it would most probably kill him, but it was okay as long as Jungkook would be safe after that. If the mate bond was broken, then Jungkook would be safe as he could no longer be used to trap the trueblood.

Second, he would kill every threat to Jungkook and his pack. And if Jungkook was a little bit as crazy as Taehyung is, then he would stay with Taeyhung despite it all. And if Jungkook decided to stay then his pack would most probably forgive him and get used to him after a period of time. This was too far-fetched and wishful thinking. Taehyung knew that.

No one in their right mind will ever accept someone like him. Someone who takes pleasure in killing not because of his wolf, because it was in his human nature. Yeah. Jungkook wasn't that crazy. This wasn't some Joker and Harley Quinn shit where one crazy person attracts the innocent one.

So yeah, it was going to end in rejection no matter how much Taehyung hoped it wouldn't.

Jungkook was confused as he followed the trail of the trueblood's scent to the pack grounds, more like open field where the fights usually happened. The trueblood sat there looking intently at everything around him.

Looking closely, Jungkook noticed that V had bought over some of Jungkook's clothes and laid them nicely at the base of the tree he was sitting in front of.

'V? Why are my clothes there and why are you sitting here alone?', he asked gently, taking a seat next to the big wolf.

The trueblood turned around to look at him and gently laid his big wolf head on Jungkook's lap.

Jungkook figured the trueblood was preparing for war as well and this was his way of contributing. Maybe the trueblood had bought the clothes here so that it was easier for Jungkook to change whenever he shifted to and back from his wolf form. Maybe the trueblood was possessive and didn't want other people seeing his mate naked.

Yeah. Maybe that was it. Jungkook wasn't going to spend too much time pondering on it. Sometimes Jungkook couldn't understand the trueblood's actions, like how he had caught the trueblood holding hair fasteners in his mouth a few days back. What the trueblood wanted to do with hair fasteners, Jungkook didn't know.

The trueblood was really a mystery.
