Jungkook would be lying if he said he didn't forget that his mate was infact a feral wolf. Yep. He forgot. Period.

And now when he was looking at the sight of dead mutilated wolves in front of him, and his mate standing in the centre, covered in blood looking like a fucking war god, he was painfully reminded of that one very important fact that he may seem to have forgotten: his mate was a dangerous feral wolf.

It wouldn't have come to this honestly if they were a little careful. But no matter how hard you try, sometimes shit just happens.

Jungkook had been in the pack house with the trueblood when the attack happened. Rogues had broken through the southern border, there were way too many of them and his pack warriors were having a hard time fighting. Some of his pack members had gotten hurt even. So Jungkook had asked the trueblood to stay inside the house as he went to check. Yes. Jungkook completely forgot about a mate's protective instincts. He was stupid. He agrees.

V had obeyed at first though as he wasn't aware of what was going on, but as soon as one rogue had bitten Jungkook's leg, the trueblood had felt the pain and rushed towards where the fight was happening.

Jungkook had completely forgotten that the mate bond was stronger now, enabling V to feel his emotions and pain.

The trueblood looked murderous as he saw his mate fighting in wolf form, one of his legs bleeding.

The growl he had let out had stopped the fight for a few seconds, everyone including the rogues were shocked and scared of the deadly aura that the trueblood let out.

The rogues started to focus their attack on the trueblood instead of the pack members, seemingly as the trueblood was their main target.

Jungkook watched mesmerized as the trueblood fought, his movements so graceful and so clean. It was like watching a warrior in battle. Apart from the way that the trueblood had teared apart limb by limb of the rogues, everything else was like a beautiful poetry.

Jungkook snapped out of his daydream when he realized that the battle was over in less than 5 minutes, his mate stood victorious in the middle of the bodies. As Jungkook looked at the dead rogues, he felt his blood still. There were atleast 20 of them, and the trueblood had taken them all alone.

Jungkook felt super proud at that realization until his father had tried to come near him to help check his wound, which had sent the trueblood into a murderous frenzy. Right now, Jungkook's mate was in his feral form, the trueblood's mind had only one thing going through it, protect mate.

Everyone was a threat to the trubelood and Jungkook realized that so he slowly shifted to his human form and tried to talk to the trueblood, tried to break through to reach the sweet wolf he has come to known. The wolf infront of him right now was not his well mannered V, but a feral and dangerous trueblood who was out for blood.

When Jungkook couldn't break through to the wolf, he tried a different approach. He started to talk to the human side, hoping and praying that the human side was watching.

After a lot of pleading, the trueblood visibly calmed down enough to allow the pack medics to transport Jungkook to the pack clinic.

One thing was for sure, Jungkook was never forgetting again that at the end of the day, his mate was still feral. His mate was still dangerous. Not for him ofcourse, but to anyone else who hurt him or even tried to touch him in a threatening environment.

That much was proven with how the trueblood stayed in the pack clinic while Jungkook was being treated, still on high alert, snapping at anyone who was not a medic for even looking at Jungkook.

Even though the situation was very serious, Jungkook couldn't help but feel amused. His mate was so overprotective that it made him feel giddy. Plus the look of helplessness and fear on the hyung's and his father's face was priceless.

His mate was really something else.

V had snapped into action as soon as he realized his mate was in pain. But when he reached there, V's rage was nothing compared to Taehyung's. People always assumed it was the wolf which was aggressive, hardly anyone blamed the human.

In V's case though, it was his human who had a murderous nature. Taehyung was super dominant and aggressive. Maybe a little too hot tempered. He had been like this since the very beginning. Maybe possessing such a powerful wolf had attributed to his aggressive nature but it was something that his human had hated from the very start because he couldn't control it, no matter how hard he tried. In the end, Taehyung had just ended up accepting it as a part of him.

It wasn't like V wasn't aggressive or dominant. He was but his wrath was very less compared to Taehyung. While V would fight to survive, Taehyung would fight to kill. Maybe that was one of the main reasons Taehyung gave V control all those years back. At the back of his conscious, even Taehyung knew that if he was in control, he would have ended so many lives.

Like right now, Taehyung only saw red. The image of his mate bleeding was enough to let his wrath flow. He didn't care that his mate's pack was watching. He didn't care that his mate was watching. He wanted blood of those who had dared to hurt people close to him.

Like other people, Jungkook had also thought it was V who had gone berserk or feral as they called it. It was so far from the truth.

It was Taehyung who was in control. Not V.

That's why when Jungkook had started to talk to V, it didn't work to calm him down. But when Jungkook had talked to Taehyung directly, pleading to calm down, the human side of V had given up control.

Taehyung knew this part of him was one thing that might frighten Jungkook. Might push him away. But there really wasn't anything he could do about it except shelter Jungkook from the truth. While he hated having to hide his aggressive nature behind his wolf, he had no choice at the moment.

V also knew that which is why he silently agreed, not being angered by the action. Taehyung's rage had been one of the reasons they were hiding. It had gotten out of hand before and luckily, now Jungkook was here to control it because only the moon goddess knows what would have happened if Jungkook wasn't there.

The last time Taehyung lost control, 3 packs were demolished. That obviously cannot happen again as his mate's life was bound to him now.

Taehyung was a complicated soul. While he was kind and caring, he was also very dominant and aggressive. When Taehyung cared, he cared deeply. When he loved, he loved deeply. And when he hated something or someone, his hate knew no bounds.

Taehyung had never been afraid to take a life. It was maybe sadistic but that was how he was. Before, Taehyung had nothing to lose except his wolf, but now, he had Jungkook and Jungkook's pack which was like family.

And Taehyung would kill everyone if he had to in order to protect Jungkook and his loved ones.

He doesn't care that the world may view him as a monster. He was a monster. A monster that loved too much. A monster that cared too deep.

He would become that monster happily if it meant he could keep Jungkook safe.
